Before Julius Novachrono took the title of Wizard King, a young prince earned that title by killing the beast forged by combining elf magic and forbidden magic. Before Lumière was forced to face his old friend Licht and earn the title of Wizard King, he spent the majority of his time reading, studying, and inventing in his private library.
With Secre's help, Lumière surpassed his limits without having to rely on the battlefield to do so. These words prove that Lumière is focused on growth and inspiration, despite the obligation to cut down the elves' leader.

When Asta and Yuno first meet the Wizard King, they ask Julius what it takes to obtain the title of Wizard King themselves, and these words mark his response.
Julius' answer shocks both the characters and the viewers. While many would assume the Wizard King must focus on class and power, Julius places the emphasis elsewhere. The current Wizard King prioritizes results and uses his status to promote them.
