⛩ Guts also known as "The Black Swordsman" , is a former mercenary and branded wanderer, roaming the world in a constant internal struggle between pursuing his own ends and holding onto his attachments to those he cares about.

As for his equipment, Guts fights with a massive sword called the Dragonslayer. It was forged by Godo, a legendary blacksmith, who created this weapon for an ancient king wanting to slay a dragon. However, the blade was so enormous that no warrior in the kingdom could wield it.

Later on, Flora gifts him the Berserker armor, which previously belonged to the Skull Knight. While this armor allows Guts to surpass human limits by no longer feeling fatigue, it is also highly dangerous. It inflicts immense pain on the wearer and drives them mad.
