⛩ An iconic character of "Berserk" with a sinister aura and synonymous with death, the Skull Knight makes his first appearance in volume 9.
After that, his rare appearances are always brief, chilling, and mysterious. Highly attuned to the phenomenon of "causality," his words often seem like a cruel prophecy from which no one can escape. They resonate within Guts, always foreshadowing a tragic and inevitable fate for the hero and marking major events that will occur many volumes later in the story. His speeches can also serve as explanations for certain elements in "Berserk," as was the case during his first real discussion with Guts.
The Skull Knight is also the "enemy of the inhumans." Armed with his powerful Beherit sword and his great black horse, he has been fighting and hunting apostles and the God Hand for over 1000 years, especially Void, to whom he seems to bear a particular grudge. He is also an old rival of Zodd the Immortal.
His combat abilities are monstrous, alternating between devastating sword strikes, abyssal vortexes, and dimensional portals. These portals allow him to deflect enemy attacks and perform instantaneous jumps through space and time. When he is absent, no one knows where he is or when he will appear next.
