⛩ Guts known as "The Black Swordsman", is a former mercenary and marked wanderer, constantly torn between pursuing his own goals and maintaining attachments to those he holds dear.

Regarding his equipment, Guts fights with a gigantic sword called the Dragonslayer, a dragon-slaying weapon forged by Godo, a legendary blacksmith. This sword was created for an ancient king who wished to defeat a dragon, but it was so massive that no warrior in the kingdom could wield it.

Later, Flora gives him the Berserker armor, which once belonged to the Skullknight. While this armor allows Guts to push past human limits, feeling no fatigue, it is also very dangerous. It causes immense pain to the wearer and can make them lose their sanity.
