⛩ Casca is a former officer of the Band of the Hawk, who lost her mind after the traumatic events of the Eclipse. She was healed through the Corridor of Dreams, a ritual performed by Danan, the queen of Elfhelm.

She is part of the Band of the Hawk, led by Griffith, and is the second-in-command after him. She has the reputation of being the best fighter in the group after Griffith and Guts.

Located in the kingdom of Midland, the battle pits the Band of the Hawk, commanded by the ambitious Griffith, against the royal forces. Griffith's goal is to conquer the kingdom and fulfill his dream of sovereignty. However, his excessive ambition leads him to make unspeakable sacrifices.

During the battle, when victory seems certain for the Band of the Hawk, Griffith activates a demonic ritual known as the Eclipse. This macabre event transforms his soldiers into monstrous creatures and sacrifices the members of the Band of the Hawk, subjecting them to atrocious torments. Casca, Griffith's lieutenant and Guts' lover, is one of the main victims. She is brutally assaulted by Griffith and the Apostles, demonic beings coveting her potential power.

Traumatized by the events of the Eclipse, Casca descends into madness, losing her mind and her ability to speak. She becomes a shadow of herself, haunted by the horrors she endured.
