⛩ Tanjiro Kamado is the main protagonist of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. He is a Demon Slayer of the Demon Slayers Army, with Kanoe rank. He seeks a cure to transform his sister, Nezuko Kamado, into a human, and to hunt down and kill demons to protect others from the same fate as himself.

Before becoming a demon slayer, his entire family was slaughtered by the Demon King, Muzan Kibutsuji, while his younger sister, Nezuko, was transformed into a demon. He made it his mission to find a way to restore his sister's humanity and exterminate the demons.

Tanjiro is a user of the breath of water as well as that of the sun, also known as the original breath.
