⛩ Tanjiro Kamado is the main protagonist of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. He is a Demon Slayer from the Demon Slayer Corps, holding the rank of Kanoe. He seeks a remedy to turn his sister, Nezuko Kamado, back into a human and to track and kill demons to protect others from the same fate as his.

Before becoming a demon slayer, his entire family was massacred by the King of Demons, Muzan Kibutsuji, while his younger sister, Nezuko, was transformed into a demon. He took it upon himself to find a way to restore his sister's humanity and exterminate the demons.

Tanjiro is a user of the Water Breathing technique as well as the Sun Breathing technique, also known as the original breath.
