⛩ Tanjiro Kamado is the main protagonist of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. He is a Demon Slayer of the Demon Slayer Corps, holding the rank of Kanoe. He seeks a cure to turn his sister, Nezuko Kamado, back into a human and to track down and kill demons to protect others from the same fate as his.

Before becoming a Demon Slayer, his entire family was massacred by the Demon King, Muzan Kibutsuji, while his younger sister, Nezuko, was turned into a demon. He made it his mission to find a way to restore his sister's humanity and to exterminate demons.

Tanjiro is a user of the Water Breathing techniques as well as the Sun Breathing, also known as the Original Breathing technique.
