⛩ Shinobu Kocho is a major secondary character in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. She is a Demon Slayer from the Demon Slayer Army and is the current Pillar of the Insect.

Shinobu Kocho is also Kanae Kocho's younger sister, along with her adopted younger sister Kanao Tsuyuri. After a demon killed her parents, Shinobu joined the demon-slaying army with her sister to protect others from the same fate.

Shinobu designed the Insect's Breath because she lacked the strength to decapitate demons. Although she may be the only one of the Pillars unable to decapitate demons, she is just as deadly as they are. Using this unique Breath, she coats her weapon with poison made from wisteria flowers, altering the mixture and composition of the poisons each time she sheathes her sword.
