The Sharingan allows the user to copy techniques and perceive the opponent's movements. It also enables the casting of devastating attacks such as Genjutsu. There are several forms and evolutions of the Sharingan. It is possessed by all Uchihas.

The second form of the Sharingan has two Tomoe. It allows for better observation of the opponent's movements, thus improving counterattacks, as well as the ability to see chakra flow and counter Genjutsus. It also allows for technique copying and is acquired through an emotional shock.
