⛩ Ryûk is a very tall god of Death with limbs oversized in relation to his body. His shoulders are covered with black feathers under which his wings, also as black as ebony, are hidden.

Ryûk is particularly curious and hates to be bored, which often leads him to visit humans and drop his Death Note to find some entertainment. He's also a rather shrewd and prankster god of Death.

For most of the series, he will be with Light Yagami, to whom he bequeathed a Death Note.
