⛩ Osamu Dazai is a member of the Armed Detective Agency and was once one of the leaders of the Port Mafia.

Dazai is generally called lazy; in fact, Kunikida often scolds him for being unproductive and relaxed. Despite this, he has shown a sharp mind, deducing all situations, even the most improbable, almost at the same level as Ranpo. Most of the time, he acts as the strategist for the Armed Detectives, as Ranpo is too capricious to take on that role.

He is a suicide maniac, often attempting to take his own life in a comical manner but failing. He particularly wishes to commit suicide with a beautiful woman. However, although his suicidal tendencies are initially comedic, they reveal a deep void that Dazai cannot fill. He thought he could fill this void and find a valid reason in crime and war, but his friend Oda convinced him to choose the right side, leading him to join the Armed Detectives.

The Ruin of a Man is Dazai's power that allows him to nullify other powers by touching them. Therefore, his ability relies solely on contact.

For this reason, Dazai requires a standard procedure or medical operation whenever he injures himself, unlike his fellow members of the Armed Detective Agency, whom Yosano generally heals using her power.
