⛩ Monkey D. Luffy, also known as "Mugiwara", is the main protagonist of the One Piece manga and anime.

He is the founder and captain of the Straw Hat Pirates, now considered the crew of the 5th Yonko. Luffy competes in power with the other Yonko, regarded as the most powerful pirates in the One Piece world.

Born in Fuchsia Village, Luffy accidentally ate a devil fruit at the age of 7, which transformed his body into rubber, allowing him to develop techniques like Gear 2nd, Gear 3, Gear 4, and finally Gear 5.

The Gear 5th, the latest transformation of Luffy, reveals the awakening of his devil fruit, which ultimately turns out to be one of the only known Mythical Zoan types in the series: the Hito Hito no Mi, sun god version Nika. Luffy will tell Bonney that this transformation is the form he takes when he is free.
