⛩ Koro Sensei is the homeroom teacher of the 3-E class at Kunugigaoka Middle School. His past is unclear, but we later learn that he was once a great assassin who was given the title "God of Death."

Having always lived in a hyperviolent slum, the young man was consumed by an inordinate desire for power and became bloated with pride. Betrayed by his disciple (the second and current God of Death), he was incarcerated in a research facility where antimatter experiments were conducted on his body, transforming him into a pliable creature with gigantic and mysterious powers.

During his imprisonment, he became very close to Professor Yukimura Aguri, a teacher in class 3-E, before eventually falling under her simple, perky spell. Learning of his scheduled death on a March 13, the forcible killer decided to escape by pulverizing the laboratory that enclosed him. Unfortunately, a tentacle mine killed Professor Yukimura who was trying to prevent him from flying away: she then made him promise to become a teacher in turn to pass on the flame of determination to students.
