⛩ King Helios Zone 1B is a Balance-type Beyblade released by Takara Tomy as part of the Burst system as well as the Superking Layer system. It was released as a Booster in Japan on March 28, 2020.
King is a left-spinning Balance-type ring that has five prominent blades that are raised at the back and five smaller blades in between that are slightly angled, creating a shape with moderate recoil. Theoretically, the larger blades are supposed to make a superior attack and the smaller blades are supposed to parry the attacks, but in practice, they are not very effective either.
As part of the Superking Layer system, King is compatible with all Left Spin or Dual Spin Superking chips and chassis. King is intended for use with the 1B to facilitate its gimmick of switching between a five-blade mode for attack and a ten-blade mode for defense, depending on the orientation of the ring relative to the chassis. In practice, both modes have a negligible effect on the suit's performance, although the five-blade mode applies more weight distribution to the larger King blades, causing a tiny increase in the suit's attack potential.
