⛩ Kikoru Shinomiya is one of the main protagonists of the series Kaiju No. 8. She is the daughter of the general director of the Defense Forces, Isao Shinomiya, and a member of the Third Division. After the destruction of the Tachikawa base, Kikoru was transferred to the First Division. Kikoru is one of the main protagonists of Kaiju No. 8: B-Side, a spin-off series of Kaiju No. 8.

On the day of the contest, Kikoru asked Kafka Hibino and Reno Ichikawa to change their parking spot, as number 5 was her lucky number of the day. Her behavior displeased both men, especially the older one, and the young woman, annoyed that nothing was progressing, decided to move the vehicle herself. Thanks to her suit, she was able to do so effortlessly, to the shock of Kafka and Reno.

After introducing herself, she noticed that Hibino had dispatched the kaiju, but his friend quickly explained that they were cleaners. The young woman was then shocked when she witnessed an unbelievable scene: Kafka also managed to move his car—but without a suit, unlike her. He introduced himself in the same way as Kikoru.
