⛩ Twelve years before the series began, Kyûbi attacked Konoha village destroying much of the village and taking many lives. The village leader, the Fourth Hokage, sacrificed his life to seal the Demon in a newborn child, Naruto Uzumaki. Orphaned by the attack, Naruto was shunned by the villagers, who, out of fear and anger, regarded him as Kyûbi himself. Although the Third Hokage forbade to speak about anything related to Kyûbi, the children - taking example from their parents - inherited the same animosity towards Naruto. In his thirst for recognition, Naruto swore that he would one day become the greatest Hokage the village had ever seen.
