⛩ Guts known as "The Black Swordsman", is a former mercenary and branded wanderer who roams the world in a constant internal struggle between pursuing his own ends and maintaining attachments to those he holds dear.

Depicted as a tall and muscular man, Guts stands at 2 meters with short, spiky black hair. He is missing his left forearm and right eye due to an encounter with the Divine Hand. He is also covered from head to toe in scars from a life of battles, the most visible being a lacerated scar on his nose received from a training match with his violent father, Gambino.

He also has a large horizontal scar on his chest, received during his encounter with Slan of the God Hand in the Qliphoth. After receiving the Berserker Armor, Guts gains a small white streak in his hair, probably due to the stress caused by wearing the armor.

Guts' tendency to wear black clothing while hunting the apostles earned him the nickname "The Black Swordsman." Besides all that, Guts has a brand from the Eclipse on the right back side of his neck. This mark attracts demons and evil spirits towards him at night.
