⛩ Guts known as "The Black Swordsman", is a former mercenary and marked wanderer who roams the world in a constant internal struggle between pursuing his own ends and maintaining his attachments to those he holds dear.

Portrayed as a tall and muscular man, Guts stands 2 meters tall with short, spiky black hair. He is missing his left forearm and right eye due to an encounter with the God Hand. He is also covered from head to toe in scars from a life of battles, the most noticeable being a jagged scar on his nose he received from a training match with his abusive father, Gambino.

He also has a large horizontal scar across his chest, which he received during his encounter with Slan of the God Hand in the Qliphoth. After acquiring the Berserker armor, Guts gets a small streak of white in his hair, probably due to the stress caused by wearing the armor.

Guts' tendency to wear black clothing while hunting the apostles has earned him the nickname "The Black Swordsman". Besides all that, Guts has a mark from the Eclipse on the right side of the back of his neck. This mark attracts demons and evil spirits to him at night.
