⛩ Guts known as "The Black Swordsman" , is a former mercenary and renowned vagabond who roams the world in a constant internal struggle between pursuing his own ends and maintaining his attachments to those dear to him.

Regarding his equipment, Guts fights with a gigantic sword called the Dragonslayer, or the dragon-slayer. It was forged by Godo, a legendary blacksmith who created this weapon for an ancient king seeking to defeat a dragon. But the blade was so enormous that no warrior of the kingdom could wield it.

Later, Flora offers him the Berserker Armor, which belonged to the Skullknight. This armor allows Guts to surpass human limits by no longer feeling fatigue, but it is also very dangerous. It inflicts immense pain on its wearer and causes them to lose their sanity.
