Beerus does not understand how Goku could have defeated Frieza, as his current power is not as high as Frieza's. Goku challenges him to a fight. Beerus effortlessly dodges each of Goku's strikes, shocking him.

Goku transforms into Super Saiyan 2, no longer holding back. Yet, Beerus continues to evade all his attacks. Goku urges the god to attack, which he sarcastically refuses. Goku foolishly thinks that Beerus couldn’t handle a Kamehameha and continues to try and fail in close combat until he transforms into Super Saiyan 3.

Beerus thinks that his opponent might still be hiding some power, easily dodging another rush and a Kamehameha later. King Kai is devastated, as this explosion has pierced through his planet.

Beerus finally decides to finish it and strikes Goku so hard that he sends him flying. He appears behind him and strikes him violently with his shoulder, ending the fight.
