⛩Rykard, child of Radagon and Rennala, is one of the powerful demigods of Elden Ring, brother to Ranni and Radahn, heir to a lineage torn between ambition for power and rejection of an imposed order. Known for his scholarship yet above all for his uncompromising nature, he chose open rebellion within the Lands Between by founding the fellowship of the Volcano Manor, a sanctuary of dissent where Recusants are invited to turn their backs on the Erdtree and the doctrines of the Roundtable Hold. In his pursuit of total liberation, Rykard forged a pact beyond understanding, allowing himself to be devoured by the God-Devouring Serpent to be reborn as a single entity, an unholy fusion of lord and beast, the living embodiment of blasphemy. This transgressive union is not a tyrant’s whim but the expression of a radical philosophy: the belief that only absolute transgression can break free from a cosmic law seen as a prison.
His personality is revealed in this extreme tension between the cold clarity of a strategist and the fervour of a heretical prophet, willing to sacrifice his humanity for a cause he deems greater. At his side, the Volcano Manor orchestrates hunts against Tarnished, forging a bond of blood among its members, as if to show that true insubordination is not a solitary cry but a community of broken destinies and vows upheld at the edge of the abyss. In the fiery heart of the volcano, the soul of Rykard ignites and takes form in a theatre of magma, fangs and roaring sorceries, where power is no longer a crown but a willing consumption of the self.
