⛩ Tōshirō Hitsugaya is the captain of the 10th division of the Sereitei, the organization of shinigami fighting against the Hollows. He thus possesses the highest military rank right after the captain commander, this rank earns him the fear as well as the admiration of most shinigami.

He is considered a true genius because in addition to being a monster of power he is the youngest captain in the history of Soul Society, the captain commander even declared that when his powers mature he will be one of the most powerful shinigami that ever existed.

Toshiro possesses great Spiritual Power as well as a very powerful Zanpakutō, the most powerful of the ice Zanpakutōs, Hyōrinmaru. This one allows him to create, control the ice but also the weather to some extent.

The Bankai of Hitsugaya causes Hyōrinmaru's ice to flow over Hitsugaya, starting with his right arm, on which the ice forms in the appearance of a dragon's head around his hand.
