⛩ Rider is the Servant of Matou Shinji during the 5th Holy Grail War. She is the representative of the Rider class, and is very cold, not very talkative and very vigilant in protecting her Master. To compensate for Shinji's inability to provide her with mana, she is forced to resort to other ways of getting mana, including stealing it from the townspeople. She fights with daggers at the end of very long chains and uses the environment around her to her advantage during her fights.

Rider's true identity is Medusa, one of the three famous Gorgons of Greek mythology. Like her sisters Stheno and Euryale, she was born out of mankind's desire for perfect Goddesses, the antithesis of the imperfect Gods who reside on Mount Olympus. All three were blessed with great beauty, but unlike her sisters, Medusa is the only one who is not immortal, which will cause her to grow and age irreparably. Moreover, she was born with the Mystic Eyes of Petrification, which turn anyone who looks into her eyes into stone, forcing her to live constantly with a mask over her eyes.
