⛩Ryûk is a very tall god of Death with limbs that are oversized compared to his body. His shoulders are covered with black feathers under which his wings, also black as ebony, are hidden.

Ryûk is particularly curious and hates to be bored, which often leads him to visit humans and drop his Death Note to find some entertainment. He is also a god of Death who is quite perceptive and very prankish.

He will be with Light Yagami for most of the series, to whom he left a Death Note.
