⛩ Illumi Zoldik is the eldest member of the Zoldik family. Irumi had taken part in the Hunter Examination under the name of "Gitarakuru" and in a different guise. He uses singularly shaped needles as his weapon. Irumi is also a Hunter and a "friend" of Hisoka. It was he and his father Silva who taught Kirua everything about assassination.

Illumi is unique among Hunter × Hunter characters in that you can never guess what he's thinking at any given moment. This is mainly due to his facial expression: his eyes, which are always wide open, and his expression, which never changes. Indeed, Illumi's facial expression remains unchanged whatever the situation, making it almost impossible to tell what he's thinking.

His Nen, which is manipulation, enables him to use needles in a variety of situations, for example to manipulate humans or his physical appearance.

As a member of the Troop, Machi is a very powerful fighter. She is extremely confident in her skills, demonstrating that she was ready to engage Phinks and Feitan in order to let Pakunoda go to meet Kurapika, and asserted that, should Hisoka ever kill Kuroro, she would hunt him down and kill him.
