⛩ Guts known as "The Black Swordsman" , is a former mercenary and trademark wanderer who travels the world in a constant internal struggle between pursuing his own ends and maintaining his attachments to those he holds dear.

As for his equipment, Guts fights with a gigantic sword called the Dragonslayer, or the dragon slayer. It was forged by Godo, a legendary blacksmith who created this weapon for an ancient king wishing to defeat a dragon. But the blade was so huge that no warrior in the kingdom was able to wield it.

Then Flora gives him the Berserker armor, which belonged to Skullknight. While this armor allows Guts to go beyond human limits by no longer feeling fatigue, it is also very dangerous. It inflicts immense pain on its wearer and causes him to lose his mind.
