⛩Dr. Gero alias N°20 is one of the greatest scientists on Earth. He is the one who created all the artificial humans of the Red Ribon Army (except N°8 which he co-created with Dr. Frappé). He is Gebo's father.

He has a boundless hatred for Son Goku who destroyed the dreams of the Red Ribon. In order to oppose Son Goku, and to come back to the level of threat, Gero spied on the heroes' doings in order to take DNA samples.

His genius allowed him to create formidable artificial humans such as N°17 and N°18. In an interview, Akira Toriyama revealed that No.16 was created from the body of Gero's dead son who was shot. He made him a soft personality in order not to involve him in the fights and not to die again. This implies that despite all his sadism to eliminate Son Goku, Gero was able to show attention to his family, in this case his son.
