⛩ Son Gohan, or Sangohan in the French versions, is one of the main protagonists of the Dragon Ball manga and its Dragon Ball Z animated adaptation. He returns as a secondary protagonist in Dragon Ball Super and Dragon Ball GT.

The first son of Son Gokû and Chichi, his power potential far surpasses that of his father, and he fights alongside the protagonists from an early age. A major asset to the team that notably defeated Cell, he stopped training seriously after 7 years of peace and gradually disappeared, concentrating on his scientific work and family life with his wife and daughter. He remains present, however, for major battles such as the Majin Boo threat and the Tournament of Power.

Super Saiyan 2 is much more powerful than the simple Super Saiyan, but provokes an uncommon aggressiveness. Like Super Saiyan 3, 4 and God, this transformation alters the personality of the person being transformed. The user becomes calm and collected, but no less brutal and violent, so much so that even Son Gohan, who abhors violence, takes pleasure in seeing his enemies suffer, which is how Son Gokû lost his life.
