⛩ The Dragonslayer is the immense sword of Guts. According to legend, a king once ordered the creation of a sword so powerful it could kill a dragon. A blacksmith named Godo forged the Dragonslayer, but it was so heavy and imposing that no soldier could wield it. The king took it as an insult and banished both the blacksmith and his sword.

Guts acquired it during a battle against an apostle at Godo's place. His previous weapon had broken during the fight, so Guts grabbed the Dragonslayer to defeat the apostle. This enormous sword is described as more of a "slab of iron—too large, too heavy, and too rough to be called a sword," according to the narration. Schierke would later note that the weapon exudes an aura of death, nearing that of a demonic blade, due to having slain numerous apostles and absorbed their supernatural blood. It is capable of killing and slicing enormous apostles in half.
