⛩ The Beherit, also known as the "Egg of the King" or "Egg of the Conqueror," is a "stone" shaped like an egg but with a mouth, nose, and two eyes arranged haphazardly on it. From time to time, an eye opens to watch those who manipulate the stone. According to legend, whoever carries the Beherit will reign over the entire world at the cost of their life and blood.

There are primarily two types of Beherit: the normal gray ones and the vermillion reds, which only exist in five copies. The gray ones allow their bearers to become Apostles, while the red ones grant access to the God Hand (that’s why there are only five). A Béhérit is also chosen for a specific individual, and it will attach itself to that person. Even if they lose it, the Beherit will eventually find them at the right moment. An inactive Beherit generally protects its bearer by increasing their luck; however, a bearer will have an ever-growing ambition, which typically leads to their downfall.

In Berserk, Griffith is the bearer of the last Beherit Vermillion, the strongest of all. This Beherit protects him, but at the same time, drives him to acts of excessive ambition, greater than that of normal Apostles, destined to rule the world, as dictated by his dream.
