⛩ The Akatsuki (literally meaning: “Dawn” or “Daybreak”) is a group of shinobi freed from the system of the hidden villages, representing the most wanted criminal organization in the ninja world.

Over several decades, Akatsuki has had different leaders and goals. Although each member has a criminal past, they all seek to make the world a better place by their own means. Except for Konan and Nagato, all its members are listed in the Bingo Book.

Zetsu, the organization’s spy capable of splitting in two, they operate in pairs and carry out missions internationally. Akatsuki rarely gathers completely; the extraction ritual can be managed remotely via holograms. Akatsuki also has several secret hideouts for retreats.

Their stated goal is world domination, and to achieve this, its members work as mercenaries for different countries and attempt to capture all the bijû to revive Jûbi and establish lasting “peace.”
