What is a Demon Slayer figure?
It's a small toy often made of PVC or resin that allows big anime fans to easily dive into the world of anime from the land of the rising sun and be able to admire their favorite characters right down to the smallest detail. The anime figures are not reserved for a particular category of people or age. They are collected for a variety of reasons. For high-level collectors, the figures serve as inspiration for them to create a new story. While some others buy them in large quantities to display in a window or even in their original box as true decorative gems. Older people are also concerned with collecting anime figures. For them, accumulating these small statuette characters is a way to cultivate memories.
History of Kimetsu No Yaiba anime:
Demon Slayer, known in Japan as Kimetsu No Yaiba, is a anime series written and drawn by Koyoharu Gotōge. The story follows the journey of Kamado Tanjirō as he searches for a way to make his little sister Nezuko human again after she is transformed into a demon.
In a Taishō era Japan, Tanjirō is the eldest son of a family of coal merchants whose father has died. To support her, he goes to sell charcoal in the city. Despite the difficulties of life, they manage to find some happiness in their daily life. One day, because of rumors about a man-eating demon hanging around after dark, he is unable to return home and ends up spending the night at a Good Samaritan's house in the city.
Only, everything changes when he returns home to find his family slaughtered by a demon. Nezuko, one of his younger sisters, is the only survivor but she has been transformed into a demon. She initially attacks Tanjirō, but she continues to show signs of human emotions and thoughts, which is when a demon slayer named Giyū Tomioka intervenes. While trying to eliminate Nezuko, Giyū realizes the bond between the Kamado brother and sister, and decides to leave them by sheathing his sword. On Giyū's advice, Tanjirō goes to his master Sakonji Urokodaki to train to become a demon slayer, in order to begin his journey to find an antidote that can make his little sister human again.
Demons: Demons are malevolent creatures that feed primarily on human flesh. Muzan Kibutsuji is said to be the first demon, and with his blood, he can turn humans into new demons, if they can stand the dose of blood he injects into them. They are able to change their body structure at will, heal their wounds quickly, and possess superhuman strength and agility. Some of them have special abilities called "blood powers". They can only be killed by exposing them to sunlight or if they are decapitated using a Sun Sword.
The Twelve Demonic Moons: these are the twelve most powerful demons serving Muzan Kibutsuji. Within this group, they are divided into two equal groups of six, whose membership (level and number) is marked on the eyes.
Demon Slayers: a term that designates both the organization whose mission is to protect men from demons and the warriors who compose it. It has existed for a very long time.
The Pillars: They are the most powerful warriors among the demon slayers. There are nine of them and they are of different affinity: the "Love" (Koi), the "Rock" (Iwa), the "Snake" (Hebi), the "Insect" (Mushi), the "Flame" (Honō), the "Water" (Mizu), the "Mist" (Kasumi), the "Sound" (Oto) and the "Wind" (Kaze).
