The Dark Trio has become a mainstay of modern shonen anime. Comprising Jujutsu Kaisen , Chainsaw Man and Hell's Paradise , the Dark Trio is known for its gruesome fight sequences and its subversion of traditional shonen tropes introduced in series such as Dragon Ball and Naruto.
The Dark Trio's main heroes are each the perfect example of everything that makes the Dark Trio different from the classic Big Three shonen ( One Piece , Naruto and Bleach ). They are generally conflicted individuals who unwittingly assume the role of heroes, and use battle tactics just as brutal as the villains. Despite their departure from more traditional shonen fighting series, the Dark Trio heroes retain at least one aspect of their predecessors: their overwhelming strength in battle. Denji, Gabimaru and Yuji are all warriors worthy of a place at the top of modern shonen fighting anime, but who is the strongest of them all?

Yuji Itadori is by no means the most powerful jujutsu sorcerer in JJK , but he's still pretty powerful as far as shonen heroes go. Even before he learned to control his cursed energy, Yuji was strong enough to fight a cursed spirit, proving his supernatural power - even in jujutsu society terms. Yuji is also very adept at controlling cursed energy and learns quickly, despite the fact that he hasn't really mastered his own technique. However, while this may render most wizards ineffective in combat, because Yuji is so unnaturally strong and gifted at hand-to-hand that using his cursed energy in a more basic way actually fits his fighting style perfectly.
Not only is Yuji a more than capable fighter in his own right, but he's also the vessel for the most powerful jujutsu sorcerer in history, Sukuna. However, Yuji has no control when Sukuna takes over his body, making him a totally different person despite acting in the same body.

As Chainsaw Man, Denji has a plethora of abilities that make him a powerful fighter. He can regenerate his body indefinitely, and can even come back to life if given blood to revive him. Although Denji has no natural affinity for fighting, he was eventually trained by Kishibe and gained a great deal of combat experience throughout his tenure as a devil hunter for public safety. Denji has been seen destroying entire buildings and can easily lift large boulders with his chains alone.
In his true devil form, Chainsaw Man gains substantial strength and speed, and becomes even more brutal and ruthless due to his lack of human conscience. In this form, Denji propelled his enemies through several skyscrapers and was fast enough to defeat Quanxi, who was herself already much faster than the eye could see. He also survived in the vacuum of space. The Chainsaw Devil is also immortal, as he would be reborn in hell if ever killed. However, this rebirth would ultimately mean Denji's death, as the Chainsaw Devil would take on a new form after his rebirth, as shown in the Control Devil.

With no special abilities or attacks, Gabimaru is already one of the anime's most fearsome assassins. Born in the village of Iwagakure, Gabimaru was raised from birth to be a heartless, emotionless and fearless killer. Gabimaru is so strong that a gigantic boulder fell on his head and he didn't even feel it. In terms of speed, Gabimaru was shown catching up to fourteen arrows fired at him at the same time.
After finally receiving Flower Tao, Gabimaru becomes even more unstoppable thanks to Tensen's regenerative abilities. He is almost immortal, able to heal his body no matter what kind of damage he suffers, and even regenerate his head if he is decapitated. His only weakness is if an opponent attacks him with the opposite Tao element to Gabimaru. Because Gabimaru has Fire Tao by default, this means that an opponent with a Water Tao affinity would be the only one able to harm him.

Which of the Dark Trio's heroes would win if they fought each other?
In terms of sheer strength, Denji, Gabimaru and Yuji are all fairly equal, although Gabimaru is probably slightly stronger. On the other hand, Gabimaru and Yuji both outperform Denji in terms of speed, with Gabimaru probably even faster than Yuji. However, if Chainsaw Man's true evil form is taken into account, Chainsaw Man is probably just as fast and strong as Gabimaru, maybe even more so.
In a battle royale between the three, the fight would almost certainly fall to Gabimaru and Denji, both of whom can regenerate and are virtually immortal. However, Gabimaru is by far the more experienced fighter and would have no problem ripping Pochita from Denji's heart. Chainsaw Man's greatest ability, his power to erase the existence of a devil's name by injecting it into him, is also completely useless against Yuji and Gabimaru, since neither of them is a devil.
