Vegetto, also called Vegeku in the first French version of the anime, is the result of the fusion between Gokû and Vegeta using the Potaras, which allow instant fusion.

Characteristics and Personality
Vegetto possesses Vegeta's pride and Gokû's personality. During the battle against Super Boo (who absorbed Gohan), Vegetto mocks Boo by fighting like Vegeta and moving at twice the speed of Gokû and Vegeta. However, this behavior was just a strategy to push Boo to his limits and force him to absorb Vegetto, so he could go and find Piccolo, Son Gohan, Son Goten, and Trunks, which is more in line with Gokû's approach.
Vegetto has an athletic physique, wearing Vegeta's gloves and boots but Gokû's outfit, with reversed colors (the usual orange pants and top become blue, and the shirt underneath turns orange). He has the characteristic black hair of the Saiyans.
He is the most powerful character in the Dragon Ball Z TV series and the Dragon Ball manga. He is strong enough to easily defeat Majin Boo (Evil) at his peak, even after absorbing Gohan, and that’s even when transformed into candy. He manipulates his energy perfectly, sculpting it into a pure energy sword. He can also form an energy shield to protect himself from Majin Boo's absorption and search for his friends inside the monster's body.
In Dragon Ball Super, it is revealed that only the Kaïô Shins can remain fused forever, while the fusion lasts only an hour for mortals. Additionally, if both users exert all their power in less than an hour, the fusion time is shortened.
Vegetto's treatment is quite different in Dragon Ball Super, as he doesn't truly defeat the powerful Fused Zamasu. However, Vegetto does gain the upper hand several times.
Biography
Dragon Ball Z (Majin Boo Saga)
Vegetto is created through the fusion of Goku and Vegeta using the Potara earrings, magical earrings kept by the Kaioshins, to face Super Boo. He dominates him during their battle and tries to force Boo to absorb him.
Vegetto's plan succeeds, and he allows himself to be absorbed by Super Boo to enter his body and save Gohan, Piccolo, Goten, and Trunks. However, once absorbed, the fusion is canceled, and Vegetto gives way to Goku and Vegeta.
Dragon Ball Super (Future Trunks Saga)
Vegetto makes his return in the Future Trunks Saga, where he fights in his Super Saiyan Blue form against Fused Zamasu. Unlike the battle against Majin Boo, the fight is intense, and Zamasu gives Vegetto a hard time.
Just as Vegetto is about to deliver a fatal blow, the fusion suddenly dissolves. According to Gowasu, Goku and Vegeta exhausted the fusion's power in less than an hour.
In the end, Future Trunks takes over to eliminate Zamasu.
Techniques
- Kamehameha: Vegetto gathers his body's energy into a sphere and unleashes it in a powerful blast toward his opponent.
- Super Kamehameha: A stronger version of the Kamehameha, where Vegetto focuses even more energy for a devastating attack.
- Final Flash: Vegetto spreads his arms, gathers his Ki, and releases a massive yellow energy wave.
- Big Bang Attack: Using one hand, Vegetto launches a highly concentrated energy sphere with catastrophic impact.
- Big Bang Flash: Vegetto fires an energy wave at his opponent with an open palm.
- Spirit Sword: He forms a Ki blade to stab and slash his enemy.
- Final Kamehameha: Vegetto combines the power of Final Flash and Super Kamehameha into a yellowish-white energy blast, dealing immense damage.
- Instant Transmission: By placing two fingers on his forehead, Vegetto senses a Ki signature and teleports instantly.
- Spirit Excalibur: Vegetto creates a large orange Ki blade to cut down his foe.
- Spirit Stab: He generates a Ki blade to pierce his opponent.
Transformations
- Super Saiyan: Vegetto's transformation into a Super Saiyan. In the manga, he transforms immediately, while in the anime, he first tests Majin Buu before becoming "Super Vegetto."
- Super Saiyan 2: In Dragon Ball Heroes, Vegetto can achieve the Super Saiyan 2 form.
- Super Saiyan 3: Vegetto appears in this form in the Dragon Ball Heroes arcade game. He loses one of the bangs falling over his face, though his card illustrations still depict both. His signature attack in this form is Spirit Excalibur.
- Super Saiyan Blue: As a fusion of Son Goku and Vegeta, Vegetto can transform into Super Saiyan Blue. This transformation first appears in Dragon Ball Super Episode 66 and Chapter 23.
- Super Saiyan Blue Kaio-Ken
