After the Celebration of Renewal and thus the surrender of Re-Destro, he merged the Super-Villain Alliance and the Super-Powered Liberation Army to create the Paranormal Liberation Front and is thus its supreme commander.
Apparence
Tenko is a young man with a rather thin build and extremely pale skin. His hair is light blue, of varying lengths. His lips are dry, cracked, and the skin around his eyes, which are red in color, is very wrinkled. He has a small scar over his right eye and another on the left side of his lip. He has a single mole under the right side of his lips.
When he is wearing his villain costume, he has 14 disembodied hands clasped together on his arms, chest, neck, skull, shoulders and one on his face which he refers to as "Father". Each hand is pale grey in color with a kind of golden box at their base, two holes are present on the latter. The hand on top of his head is connected to the ones around his neck with a kind of big red rope that separates in two. The rest of his costume consists of black clothes that he wears all the time, namely black pants that expose his ankles, a black long-sleeved shirt without relief, exposing his collarbones. He also wears red sneakers with no socks.
After All For One's arrest, Tomura's hair is longer and he wears a long black hooded coat that reaches down to his knees, above his usual clothes. He still wears the disembodied hands on him, with two more red ropes added to his villain costume, connecting the hands on his shoulders to those around his chest.
After his fight with Re-Destro, the hands of the suit get crushed and "Father" gets disintegrated by Tenko himself. Tomura's left hand is partially destroyed, leaving only his pinkie and ring fingers. His right hand, as well as his arm are surrounded by numerous bandages, as well as most of his face. Tomura is wearing a black parka with a fur collar. Underneath, he wears a black suit jacket, with pants of the same color. The jacket reveals a white shirt and a black tie. Tomura also has his left leg injured during the fight; he wears a brace that goes from his foot to the top of his thigh. On what remains of his left hand, Tomura wears a prosthesis that is attached with a strap. He wears sneakers and walks with the help of a crutch. He keeps a hand that survived the battle on his face, using it as a mask. Tomura's hair turned white when he managed to awaken his true evil side.
When he is in civilian clothes, especially when he has a discussion with Midoriya at the mall, in addition to his usual clothes, he wears a black hooded sweatshirt, the latter folded over his head, with "Father" in his pocket.
Personality
Like most of the villains of the manga, Tenko is disgusted by society. He doesn't care much about other people's lives, having no qualms about killing Yuei High School students in order to provoke All Might, the "symbol of peace", and even threatening Izuku Midoriya with the death of several civilians when he meets him at the mall, unless he cooperates. Tenko was initially perceived by the heroes as a "man-child". All Might describes him as a child who likes to brag. He even uses video game words like "final boss" "game over" and "tutorial", showing that he thinks it is all a game. Tenko is arrogant, selfish, dependent and demanding, becoming angry when things don't go his way, his anger being comparable to a child's tantrum. Tenko acting as such, he doesn't seem to be able to deal with his own emotions, even lashing out at others or scratching his neck bloody when he is frustrated. According to him, he hates absolutely everything that breathes. Without knowing it, it was his father who brought him this hatred towards heroes.
Tomura likes to brag that he has Brainless and that he controls the Alliance of Super-Villains, wanting to prove that they have the power to achieve their goals. Tenko enjoys mocking his enemies. He responded to Stain's attack by unleashing Brainless to cause havoc in the city and was angered when his plan failed, beginning to bear a great grudge against Stain and Izuku. When he met Crematorium and Himiko Toga, he tried to attack them just because they dared to talk about Stain.
The only person he seems to have compassion for, besides his closest allies later on, is All For One, his mentor, showing great respect and attachment to him. He showed some distress when he left All For One to face All Might alone. Tenko has a vengeful side to his allies, disintegrating and cutting off Chisaki's arm after he killed Magnet. He sees many of his allies as useful to his plans, so much so that the Eight Precepts of Death describe the League members as holding each other to a high standard. Tenko even goes so far as to confide in Toga and Twice openly. Following his victory over Re-Destro, Tomura immediately asks him if he has any money to fund his forces.
Tenko shows great affection for his deceased family and is very angry that he killed them when he lost control of his Alter. The hands he wears are the only reminders of his family. He admits that wearing them makes him feel sick, but also brings him some relief. Despite his sadness, Tomura was partially happy about the death of his family since he wanted them to be punished for letting him suffer at his father's hands. According to him, he felt some pleasure when he killed his father because of his ill-treatment and the last attack he suffered. However, Tomura overcame the trauma of his past and broke free from his chains after his memory of his childhood came back and he has the will to end the unjust pain he endured because of them. He uses this pain to increase his hatred and desire to destroy society.
Tenko will do anything to achieve his goals, abandoning his contempt for Stain, even adopting his ideology to rally more members to his cause, including Crematorium and Toga. He rallies them to him with the idea that the current society should be annihilated after Stain exposes the latter's false sense of heroism. Tenko has good command skills as he sends the Genesis Squadron to attack Yuei's student training camp. Later, Tenko will become calmer and have better self-control, especially when Katsuki knocked "Father" out of her face with an explosion. His allies were frightened by the reaction that this would cause but Tenko picked up the hand without any anger and put it back on his face.
After having his talk with Izuku at the mall, Tenko developed real convictions, always having the desire to kill All Might, at first wanting to kill him because Tenko was not saved once when he was a child. In this discussion, he realized that All Might is everything he hates compared to Izuku and Stain, that it always comes back to him. Tenko wants a society without All Might, being convinced that a world full of Alters is a dangerous place and that this current society could easily collapse if his "peace symbol" dies. He believes this could show how fragile their peace society is. After All Might retired as a hero and during the encounter between the League of Villains and the Superpower Liberation Army, Tenko changed his beliefs; he wants to destroy everything. His devotion is seen when he challenges Gigantomachia to battle and promises to subdue him while he fights him for a month, and he tends to lose his temper.
History and Biography
Tomura Shigaraki, whose real name is Tenko Shimura, was born from the union of Kotaro Shimura and Nao Shimura. He had a sister named Hana Shimura. He had black hair in the past and the numerous folds that underline his eyes would be the origin of a health problem.
When he was a child, Tenko had a fascination for heroes but his father did not tolerate his actions and often punished him for it. Tenko did not seem to have declared an Alter but suffered from physical changes to his body. However, his mother and grandparents were always there for him and encouraged him, and also his older sister who showed him a picture of their father and grandmother, Nana Shimura, learning that she was a hero. Unfortunately, Tenko's father Kotaro found out about this and punished his son while blaming that heroes are only people who protect strangers and abandon their families. The rest of Tenko's family witnessed the boy's suffering and he asked for their help but did nothing to change it, only looking at his suffering with horror. While locked up alone in the night, Tenko confided to the family dog that he hated everyone for leaving him in pain.
Tenko unfortunately declared his power over his dog first as he cuddled it. His sister came to apologize but saw with horror the family dog that was decomposed. Hana became frightened and screamed in terror as she called for help but Tenko lost control of his Alter and killed his sister. Her mother and grandparents rushed out of the family home and saw the horrible sight. Tenko, terrified, called out to his mother for help but spilled his Alter on the floor, disintegrating his mother and grandparents in the process. Later, his father came to see the extent of the damage and grabbed a large pair of garden tongs to hit his son in the face, trying to stop him. Shocked, Tenko rushed at his father with the pure intention to kill him and disintegrated him. Tenko also caused the family home to collapse and realized that the constant pain in his body had dissipated.
After the death of his family, Tenko chose to flee and was left to fend for himself on the streets. People passed him by without ever offering to help, thinking that the heroes would come and save him.
The man who saved him was called All For One. He blamed society for not saving Tenko and seemed to sympathize with the fact that the boy had to suffer. All For One used this incident as a way to further stimulate Tenko's hatred for heroes and began training him to become his successor. All For One gave Tenko a room and Daruma Ujiko "gave" the young boy the disembodied hands of his deceased family.
Later, All For One gave Tenko Shimura a new name, taking the name Tomura Shigaraki. All For One explained to him the meaning of this new name, Tomura which comes from the word "Tomurau" meaning "to mourn the death of someone, to be in mourning", saying that Tenko was reincarnated into the one who would mourn the former him. All For One also explained that Shigaraki is simply his family name. He became a member of the Super-Villains Alliance, before finally becoming the new leader of the organization.

Tomura, using binoculars, sees that Stain has killed the wings and gets angry that nothing goes his way. After the other two Brainless are detained and arrested, Tomura disintegrates his binoculars in anger. Tomura decides to leave and return to the Super Villains Alliance hideout. Black Mist asks Tomura if the results of the attack on Hosu are to his satisfaction, but Tomura replies that the results depend on tomorrow. Black Mist teleports away and Tomura is back at his hideout. The next day, Tomura reads the newspaper. However, the newspaper mainly publishes Stain's exploits and that his name in the story while the news about the Brainless is undermined. Angry that Stain is all over the news, Tomura crumbles the newspaper, unhappy that his plan to undermine Stain and make the world around him forget him has failed. Tomura is annoyed that the world will never forget Stain and that his efforts have been undermined.
Arc End of Term Examination
In the Super Villains Alliance lair, Tomura sees a picture of Izuku Midoriya from the championship and disintegrates it. When, Giran brings two visitors, a boy and a girl who express interest in joining the organization. Tomura decides to send them away. Giran introduces Himiko Toga and Crematorium. Instead of introducing himself, the boy asks if the organization is following a cause, to which Tomura pleads his disrespect. The boy tells Tomura that he is the one who will finish the job of Stain.
Angry, that they still talk about Stain, he attacks Crematorium but is interrupted by Black Mist. He leaves the room in silence. At the shopping mall Gallery of Kiyashi, he approaches Izuku to ask him for an autograph with his civil appearance and says that they will meet again by putting his hand on his neck. Tomura tells him that the last time they saw each other was at the SCA. Tomura then invites Izuku to have tea with him and smiles wickedly. Tomura, in a threatening tone with his hand still on young Izuku's neck, tells him to calm down and that he just wants to have a conversation. Izuku warns Tomura that if he attacks him, a hero will appear, but Tomura threatens the safety of the crowd. Then, Tomura thanks Izuku for the conversation and advises him to take care of himself because the next time they will meet, it will be to kill him.
Arc Summer Camp
Tomura ordered the Genesis Squadron to attack Yuei's students during the night while they were in their summer camp to improve their powers. He asked them to capture Katsuki Bakugo in order to make the young man a potential villain. The attack ended up with many students getting minor or major injuries (some of them would have to be hospitalized), Katsuki and Ragdoll were captured, and the trip ended abruptly.
Arc Raid vs. Alliance of Super-Villains
Tomura wanted Katsuki to join the villain side. He was a little frustrated when Katsuki refused his offer and declared that All Might was his hero and that he would always support him. Tomura decided that he didn't have time to face Katsuki's challenge and sought his master's power to convert him to the dark side. As he was about to attack Katsuki, All Might and the other heroes appeared to save Katsuki. At the sight of All Might's appearance, Tomura remembered his past. Tomura's master took each of the villains and Katsuki with a black slime substance and transported them to a destroyed warehouse on the other side of the city.
While Tomura's master is fighting All Might. Tomura tries to capture Katsuki again, but he was saved by the combined efforts of Izuku, Tenya and Eijiro. Tomura's master decided to teleport Tomura and the rest of the villains away from the area where he was fighting All Might for their safety. His master told him that he should continue his plans. When his master was defeated in his fight against All Might, Tomura was furious.
Arc Review of Provisional Licenses
After All for One was arrested and All Might withdrew, Tomura went into hiding and ordered the League of Villains to disperse, so that it would be easier for them to escape from law enforcement. He also ordered them to find other villains in order to join the league. In his new hideout, Tomura is sitting against the wall in the dark while Mr. Compress talks with Toga on the phone. Many of the league members (except for Crematorium) have gathered, with Twice bringing a new villain to join them, Overhaul.
The Eight Precepts of Death
Chisaki told Tomura about his weaknesses and how his lack of strategic thinking allowed the heroes to stop Muscular and Moonfish. Chisaki wanted Tomura to join his organization and together would have much more power to destroy this hero dominated society. His meeting with Chisaki became very cold as Chisaki killed one of Tomura's men for attacking him and Tomura killed one of his men in response. Despite their conflicts, Tomura decided to involve the Super Villains Alliance in the Eight Precepts. He sent Himiko Toga and Twice to Chisaki's headquarters to help Chisaki fight the heroes who were planning to invade his home.
Once Chasaki is defeated, he and the alliance head to the convoy carrying Overhaul. They attack the convoy but are intercepted by Snatch. Once Snatch is defeated, Shimura takes revenge on Chisaki by cutting off his arms and stealing the bullets, preventing Chisaki from using his Alter ever again.
Arc Liberation Army of Superpowers
Less than a month before the Japanese Hero Ranking event, the League of Villains is in bad shape; they are barely scraping by due to lack of funds and are forced to steal from other criminal groups. Tomura leads Spinner, Twice, Compress and Himiko to the base of the Coalition to Deny Creatures, where they interrupt a religious ceremony. The villains begin searching for valuables throughout the church. The Coalition members ask the villains to leave and attack them. Tomura catches one of them and tells them that they will only leave when they are finished. Tomura eventually disintegrates him and the other League members kill the other men. The group struggles to find anything to sell, with Tomura saying there is nothing of value in the church.
Later, irritated, Spinner asks Tomura how much longer the League would be in this situation. He simply answered until their work is finished. Crematorium joined the group again and Tomura recalled that it had been a month since Black Mist had been captured, when he had gone to get a secret weapon that All For One had left behind. The league never received this power. They have never had contact with the All For One doctor since he was locked up. Once again, Spinner asks Tomura where the League is going and explains that he was inspired by Stain to live with new goals but the League seems to be going nowhere. Before Tomura can answer him, Gigantomachia appears and asks who will be the successor of All For One. Tomura then recognizes the famous power that Black Mist was talking about.
Gigantomachia says that he is devoted to All For One and challenges Tomura to prove that he would be a good successor. Tomura is quickly overwhelmed, failing to prove to the giant that he could replace All For One. Tomura hears a voice coming from the radio and realizes that it is the doctor, Daruma Ujiko.
The doctor asks Tomura how the Alliance is doing and he sarcastically replies that everything is fine. Gigantomachia appears and shouts that he doesn't accept his master's successor. Tomura claims that he doesn't want this gift and the Doctor tells him to grow up. He brings the whole league to his secret laboratory, housing a dozen Brainless High-End. Tomura wants the Doctor to duplicate the Alter-suppressing bullets. He tells him that he won't help them because he thinks Tomura hasn't accomplished anything yet and wants proof.
Tomura's past is buried deep in his heart and acts as an endless source of anger and rage. He believes that he will always have this weight and that's why he hates everything. Tomura wonders why he should not destroy everything and promises the Doctor to show him the new horizon that will come when he destroys everything. Interested, Ujiko then agrees to make Tomura's dreams come true and plans to help the League by using the Brainless High-End and other research he is preparing for Tomura, but to do so, he will have to defeat Gigantomachia. Tomura says that Ujiko has provided them with a long tutorial and asks to be teleported to Gigantomachia, telling the giant that his future king has returned.
For almost a month and a half, Tomura fights him for 48 hours and 44 minutes, almost not sleeping, while his life is in Gigantomachia's hands, until the latter falls asleep for 3 hours... All he can do is smile. Gigantomachia finds it hard to accept Tomura, but Tomura believes that after their recent fight, his reign will come soon. Later, Twice receives a call, thinking it was Giran but it was someone else's voice, telling him to watch the news.
The Alliance realizes that Giran's fingers have been scattered in five different places where the League has appeared. The voice on the phone introduces himself as Re-Destro, the commander of the Superpower Liberation Army. Tomura says he is tired of this type of group. Re-Destro explains that they are holding Giran, who is alive at the time, and that the army wants to allow people to use their Alters freely. Tomura answers that he has to finish with Machia first. Re-Destro claims that his army consists of 116,516 warriors, ready to go into action and that a satellite camera is pointed at the villains and threatens to call the Heroes Pros. Tomura thanks him sarcastically.
As Destro clearly declares war on the League, Tomura has no choice but to lead his members to Deika City and confront the Liberation Army or they will be captured by the Heroes. If the League wants to see Giran again, they must go to Aichi Prefecture within the hour. Tomura contacts the Doctor via a communication device in his ear. The Doctor was listening to "villain radio" and Compress suggested to use a Brainless High-End but he refused. They have about two hours before Machia wakes up and Tomura asks the Doctor to transfer them all to Aichi. Spinner says that they are walking into a trap but Tomura plans to use the Liberation Army to wear down Gigantomachia's enormous stamina.
The League arrives in Aichi and are guided into Deika City by the Hero Slidin' Go. As they walk through the abandoned city, Tomura realizes that the entire area has been turned against them. They meet Koku Hanabata and Chitose Kizuki, two high ranking members of the army. Tomura sees Koku as a miniboss. It is revealed by one of the army members that Giran is in the tower with the Great Commander. Two army members attack Tomura, charging towards him, but he instantly disintegrates them and leads his team towards the tower.
As the fight continued, Tomura began to feel the fatigue of his month-long battle with Mashia. He suddenly had a flashback to his childhood when his sister found a picture of his grandmother Nana. When he asked her why she showed him the picture, Hana cheerfully replied that despite what her father might say, she had always been on his side.
Tomura revises that he had no memory of this, the emotions of this event still being present and complains that the flashbacks only show him fragments of his past instead of the whole story. As a huge group of the Superpower Liberation Army attacked him, Tomura managed to jump on a wall and grabbed a soldier by the head, causing a chain reaction, disintegrating many of them simultaneously.
Later Shigaraki and Spinner were hit by an ice attack from Geten. Spinner then asked if Shigaraki was okay, to which Shigaraki asked if he was okay and that maybe they should have waited instead, but Spinner assured him that even if they hadn't come to this city, they would still have been chased by Heroes. Shigaraki confirmed that Spinner was probably right and that it was a trap that was set for them. He told Spinner that the tower where Giran was held is now very close but the crowd was getting bigger and bigger. Spinner complained that there was no end to it.
At the same time, Twice came from behind and grabbed Tomura, probably wanting to protect him. Shigaraki asked Twice if he had really multiplied, to which the clones replied that he had and that maybe he could be useful to Tomura, referring to the fact that he had failed when he tried to multiply Alter's destructive bullets. Shigaraki was impressed by Twice's Alter and asked him if it was possible to lead the way to the tower, saying that Giran and the army leader are here, that it is probably a trap but that their opponent's defenses are getting stronger as they approach the tower. Shigaraki added that it was necessary to leave some of the army at the mercy of Mashia but that the leader should die at their hands. Twice suggested that Shigaraki rest on him and sleep, but Tomura refused. Spinner suggested to let Twice take care of the army, but Tomura replied that Twice just loved Giran too much and added that he would never forgive the Superpower Liberation Army for playing with people's feelings like that.
Twice, once in the tower, created a clone of Tomura, Crematorium and Mr. Compress and said that even if they die, they would not cease to exist and that he would even dig their graves. Tomura told Twice that there is no point in duplicating him under the assumption that he may die. As Twice began to worry about the ease with which Re-Destro destroyed the clones and threatened to kill Giran if Twice continued to create more clones, Tomura told Twice not to worry and that Twice had managed to create a considerable chance of success with so many clones against one man.
Re-Destro destroyed the clones except for Tomura's clone, who began to pounce on him telling Re-Destro that he has noble ideologies. Re-Destro and Tomura's clone began to fight as Re-Destro began to tell the story of a woman who was carrying a child with superpowers. Later, as Re-Destro seemed to be getting the better of Tomura's clone, Tomura advised Twice to create a cushion to preserve Giran's life because he knew that the real Tomura was coming down the tower and that, knowing him, he would destroy the tower with his Alter of Disintegration. Indeed, at the bottom of the tower was the real Tomura, who touched the tower with the five fingers of his right hand and the disintegration spread over the wall of the tower, making it collapse in a split second. Tomura found himself facing Re-Destro, telling him that he is a human and that he is supposed to die because of the fall he just took and asked him if he was the leader. Tomura seemed to have seen Re-Destro in the Detrenat commercial before but Re-Destro replied that he lost his chance to know the answer.
Tomura is now facing Re-Destro who has activated his Alter of Gigantification. He asks him what it's like to come down to Earth, since all he's done now is watch the fight from his tower. Tomura continues to provoke him but Rikiya does not answer. Tomura then attacks the man in front of him by disintegrating the ground. But Re-Destro, thanks to his Alter, manages to destroy half of Tomura's left hand.
The fight between the two opponents continues and Re-Destro still keeps Tomura trapped with the help of his Alter. As Re-Destro asks about Tomura's real ambitions, Tomura has another flashback; we see a man from behind, presumably All For One, explaining that the disembodied hands are those of his mother, father and maternal grandparents and telling him to keep those hands close to him and not let the memories disappear. Tomura sees in his flashback his older sister, Hana Shimura, asking him if he had any more trouble, having advised him to stay quiet.
Meanwhile, Re-Destro told Tomura that they could not get along. At the same time, Tomura realizes that his unknown emotions had buried his memories that he had completely lost. When his left hand was half destroyed, in an effort, Tomura managed to disintegrate a tiny part of one of Re-Destro's fingers, much to Re-Destro's surprise, who pushed him back with an attack and realized that Tomura was undergoing a rebirth. Tomura also managed to remember his mother, and when Re-Destro used a special technique, throwing Tomura away from him, he remembered his maternal grandparents. At that moment, Tomura seems to remember all his memories and while he is down, Gigantomachia appears.
As the soldiers warn that Gigantomachia is heading straight for Re-Destro, Re-Destro is thinking about Tomura's Alter and his own. While looking at "Father", Tomura answered Re-Destro's question by telling him that what he could do was to destroy absolutely everything. Re-Destro then asked him to disappear, telling him that a world without creation has no future, to which the leader of the Super-Villain Alliance sarcastically replied that the world does not need a future.
Tomura now remembers all the circumstances of the incident that involved the murder of his family, as well as the fact that All For One trained him to become his successor. He also remembered that he had intentionally killed his father and that seeing his family disintegrate was a great relief to him, as he did not consider this event a tragedy. As Spinner shouted to the leader of the Super-Villain Alliance that Gigantomachia was coming for him, Tomura finally decided to break free of his chains, disintegrating his father's disembodied hand, the one he used to wear on his face.
Having destroyed his father's hand, Tomura remembered every detail of his past and considered that he no longer needed the hands he wore on his body. Tomura managed to avoid Re-Destro's "Stress 100%" attack and managed to disintegrate Re-Destro's energy tendrils without any problem, destroying most of the surrounding buildings in the process.
Tomura continues to advance towards Re-Destro, while showing no sign of pain and mocking his opponent by telling him that he understands the will of this last one to want to destroy everything he hates for pleasure. Re-Destro then starts to panic as Tomura moves towards him and summons a "Stress Amplifying Machine", which Tomura seems to be completely unimpressed by.
When Gigantomachia finally reaches Tomura's location, he stops his assault when he sees the Alliance leader reveal his true evil side. Tomura then unleashes the full power of his Alter, which seems to result in massive destruction directed directly at Re-Destro.
Re-Destro struggles to avoid the massive destruction that is occurring because of Tomura's Alter, more powerful than ever, managing to devastate the entire city. The leader of The Alliance is on a rampage, taking great pleasure in destroying everything in his path, all the while laughing machiavellianly and telling Re-Destro that he would crush him to bits. The destruction continues to cause several surrounding buildings to collapse and Re-Destro struggles to escape Tomura's Disintegration Alter, until his feet hit the ground and the infection hits him. Tomura points this out to him, saying that Re-Destro was forced to amputate his feet and asks him who caused the whole battle, pointing to Re-Destro as the only culprit. In defeat, Re-Destro submits to the leader of the supervillain alliance, who eventually asks him if he has any money.
Later, Re-Destro held a ceremony for the members of the Superpower Liberation Army. Earlier, he had granted Tomura complete control over the army, appointing him as its grand commander. Tomura only noticed that his new coat was itchy as Re-Destro announced that Tomura would be assisted by nine officers, consisting of members of the Super-Villain Alliance and the Super-Villain Liberation Army. The Alliance merged with the Liberation Army to become the Paranormal Liberation Front. Tomura said that the names are a decoration, saying that all that matters is the changes they will bring. After the speech, Tomura ordered Re-Destro to leave and fell to the ground because of his injuries. Tomura then had a conversation with Daruma Ujiko, noting that he has finally met his expectations with his victory and the doctor agrees to help him.
Arc Endeavor Agency
As his followers organize their forces for their move in four months, Tomura goes to Ujiko's laboratory for a special surgery that will make him more powerful. Daruma asks Tomura why he wants more power, considering that his Alter Disintegration has become so powerful that he is literally destruction incarnate. Tomura replies that he promised him more power if he met his demands, and that he wants to use everything he has at his disposal to erase the trails left by All Might.
Daruma appreciates Tomura's proclamations and explains the situation to him. Thanks to the surgery he will perform on him, he will get a suitable body to control an even greater power than All For One, to the point that he will even be able to defeat the One For All. However, Daruma also warns Shigaraki that the medical process will take four months, and that he will undergo hellish agony.
After clarifying the situation, Daruma starts to operate on Tomura.
Paranormal Liberation War Arc
It's been a month since Tomura Shigaraki began the operation to become more powerful, and he is still undergoing the surgery. While the operation to grant him the power that Dr. Ujiko promised him seems to be going even better than expected, as the Doctor had assured, the process is extremely painful and horrible.
Numerous tubes and wires are coming out of his spine and head, while a larger mechanical tube is working on his midsection which has been completely torn apart, all accompanied by large amounts of blood. As an excited Daruma cheers from the sidelines, a fully conscious Tomura goes through the painful process in the operating room, laughing madly.
Dr. Ujiko attempts to free Tomura before the enhancement process is complete during the heroes' siege of the hospital, but fails, killing Tomura. Later, Ujiko explains to Present Mix, who was taking him away while another hero stayed near Tomura's body, that he had transferred his Alter Force Vitale to Tomura and that the one he was holding was only a copy of the original.
During this time, Tomura had a vision in which he saw his sister, Hana Shimura, telling him that she was sorry for having sold out to their father. Tomura replied that it was okay, but right after that, he had a vision of his mother telling him that his eyes were irritated and that the more he scratched, the more it would itch, to which Tomura replied that it was okay and that now everything was fine again. Later, Tomura saw his father yelling at him for entering his office. Apprehending to hit him this time Tomura immediately disintegrates his father, which gives way to a vision of All For One asking him to come to him.
At the same time, Ujiko explains to Present Mic that All For One had foreseen his defeat against All Might and decided to leave everything to his successor, including his own Alter, and he claims that All For One had passed the All For One and all the Alters he had collected to Tomura. In his vision, Tomura decides to join All For One but his family tries to stop him and even his grandmother, Nana Shimura, tries to stop her grandson from joining All For One. Tomura decides to disintegrate all of them by telling them not to reject who he was. Later, in the real world, Tomura woke up.
When he wakes up, Tomura says that he was cold and starts to disintegrate everything in his path. His disintegration spreads and continues to spread throughout the city. Later, Tomura stands in front of what used to be Jaku Hospital and realizes that some of the replica bullets capable of suppressing the Alters are completely destroyed, a likely blow to Overhaul. Then he hears a voice telling him to do it, then says that he is now able to control his disintegration, understanding that if the heroes found out where he was hiding, they must have surely found out where the Paranormal Liberation Front's lair was. He then picks up a cell phone and calls Gigantomachia at the Paranormal Liberation Front's lair, which is currently being invaded by the heroes. Gigantomachia tells him to come and join him and the others at Jaku Hospital, where he intends to finish off the heroes. The minion does so, but right after that, Tomura is joined by Endeavor, determined to end it all once and for all.
Endeavor flies into the air and is about to attack Tomura. Tomura prepares to retaliate and he hears a voice saying "One For All". Meanwhile, Endeavor used a special attack to trap Tomura in a cage of flames, but Tomura managed to get through it and tried to disintegrate Endeavor, but to no avail. Tomura was able to heal the damage inflicted on him by Endeavor's flames, thanks to Dr. Ujiko's modifications, which now allowed him to regenerate without even using Alters. Tomura tried a second time to kill Endeavor, but Endeavor managed to dodge and grab his right hand. There, Tomura used the All For One for the first time, using the Alter Projection, which allowed him to free Endeavor.
Endeavor asked all the heroes with the Alter that allowed them to fly to come to Jaku Hospital, and Tomura exclaimed that something inside him was telling him to take something else. He said aloud the name of the Alter that his master could not get. Izuku Midoriya and Endeavor heard this and repeated it into their communicator, which Endeavor's acolyte, Burnin, repeated in turn. She was right next to Izuku and realized that Tomura was planning to come and take the One For All.
Tomura, using the Alter Research to find the One For All, understood that Izuku Midoriya had the One For All and used his new superhuman strength to go towards Midoriya. Midoriya decided to get as far away from the city as possible so as not to endanger the civilians, and Katsuki Bakugo decided to accompany him. As Endeavor was still chasing Tomura, Tomura decided to use the Projection Alter in order to go faster, and added a radio wave to jam the communications. Thanks to this strategy, he found himself right in front of Izuku Midoriya and Katsuki Bakugo and told Midoriya to give him the One For All, just before Tomura could hit Izuku and get the One For All.
Izuku and Katsuki were retrieved by Gran Torino, along with all the other heroes who had survived the invasion of Jaku Hospital, in order to stop Tomura for good. He was attacked by Ryukyu in dragon form. Tomura tried to disintegrate her, but her Alter had been cancelled by Eraser Head. Endeavor then tried to destroy Tomura, but Tomura managed to dodge his attack using his incredible physical power, although not as powerful as All Might's, but powerful enough to knock Endeavor down.
At his regeneration, which he had achieved through the physical modifications he had undergone without even using Alters, Tomura was joined by several High Nomus that Tomura had not destroyed (because he could now control his disintegration) and who had been awakened when Tomura launched a radio wave. Meanwhile, Tomura mocked Endeavor by doing the All Might victory pose on him. He then decided to kill Eraser Head because he was now the only obstacle in his way, as he was preventing him from using his many Alters, to which Aizawa replied that he was the obstacle and just before he could reach Eraser Head, Deku and Ground Zero rushed at him and he decided to engage in a fight in order to protect their teacher. Tomura started a fight, which he dominated, against Izuku. But towards the end of the fight, he could not control his powers. While Izuku unlocks the Alter of Nana Shimura: Float. Tomura and Izuku decide to finish it; Izuku uses the One For All at 100% and hits Tomura. The latter remains on the ground.

Skills and Competencies
Alters
- Disintegration (崩壊 Hōkai): Very dangerous, his Alter allows him to disintegrate anything that comes in contact with his hands, once touched, the object/body part gradually crumbles. Tenko seems immune to the effects of his Alter. His power becomes more powerful because later when he touched one of Chisaki's guards, he completely destroyed him in an instant and touched him for less time than with Shota Aizawa. His disintegration also shows that he has an infectious property because when he disintegrated Chisaki's arms, the disintegration went back to his arms and Shigaraki had to cut them off so that he would not disintegrate completely. However, in the middle of the fight with Re-Destro, Tomura's Alter underwent a rebirth that allowed him to disintegrate an object without even needing his five fingers, as seen when Tomura partially disintegrated one of Re-Destro's fingers after three of his fingers were destroyed. When Tomura broke free from his chains, his alter allowed him to destroy an entire city.
It has also been shown that Tomura was able to create a chain reaction with his Alter, when he caught a soldier of the Super-Powered Liberation Army, simultaneously disintegrating and eliminating without touching a large part of the soldiers.
Since the activation of his Alter requires touching solid objects, it can be countered with the manipulation of fluids or particles, such as the sand body of the hero Snatch.
The effect of the Alter is cancelled if the user is wearing gloves.
- All For One: This alter allows him to steal the alter of others, except for the One For All. It was revealed that the alter of his tutor All For One was only a copy and that the original was passed on to Tomura.
- Life Force: This alter allows its user to have twice the longevity of a normal human.
- Projection : Tomura seems to have inherited all the alters stolen by his predecessor, and can therefore shoot devastating rays of compressed air, like All for one did.
- Research: With this alter, he can observe and monitor up to 100 people at a time, including their location and weak points.
- Radio waves: Tomura can disrupt radio waves and make communicators malfunction.

Skills
Overall Skills: Tomura is known as one of Japan's most dangerous villains, taking on professional heroes in battle with his great physical and analytical skills. As the leader of the Super-Villain Alliance, Tomura has great authority over his most powerful subordinates. During the SCA attack, Tomura is brave enough to attack Eraser Head briefly, successfully using his Disintegration Alter on Eraser Head's elbow, smashing him to pieces. Tomura was also confident enough to believe that he could beat Midoriya, Todoroki, Bakugo, and Kirishima, four very talented Yuei students, all at once, even though he did not know any of the students' Alters. When he faced Re-Destro, even though his left hand is partially destroyed, Tomura's ability was suddenly enhanced beyond his natural parameters. According to Re-Destro, if Tomura had these new improved parameters during the Kamino incident, Tomura could have easily disintegrated at least one of the Pro Heroes during that event, even without using his Disintegration Alter. After a fierce battle, Tomura was able to not only defeat Re-Destro but also get the support of Re-Destro's army. He was also able to rally Gigantomachia to his cause with his victory.
- Improved Strength: Tomura appears to have some strength, having been able to hold Izuku by choking him with only 4 of his fingers, while his victim showed some difficulty in trying to defend himself.
- Improved Speed: Tomura appears to be able to move very quickly, which helps him to hit his targets and affect them with minimal contact. He was able to appear in front of Asui Tsuyu in an instant and see Izuku after the latter jumped at a speed rivaling that of All Might, and was able to immediately react and avoid the attack. At that moment, only All Might was too fast for Tomura. Even when he was exhausted during the battle against the Liberation Army, he managed to quickly climb to the top of a wall to avoid an attack from the army soldiers, much to their surprise, before disintegrating many of them in an instant. When Tomura was fighting Re-Destro, he was able to move so quickly with minimal movement that Re-Destro was taken by surprise by the incredible speed Tomura had achieved, despite being exhausted and injured.
- High intelligence : Tomura is quick-witted and analytical, being able to deduce how his opponents' abilities work by simply observing them. During his fight with Eraserhead, he quickly became aware of the latter's weaknesses and took advantage of him. Tenko noticed that All Might had become weaker, having found him slower when the latter hit him and said that the rumors were therefore true. After beating Machia for a month, Tomura realized that the monster was slowed down compared to their first encounter, and believes that Gigantomachia will soon submit.
- Great Resistance: Tomura was able to fight Gigantomachia for almost a month and a half, lasting 48 hours and 44 minutes, taking the blows and never sleeping, facing the fight with a smile. Despite being severely injured and exhausted from his fight with Re-Destro and, previously, Gigantomachia, Tomura was still able to fight the leader of the Superpower Liberation Army, without ever complaining.
- Body Modifications: After becoming the leader of the Paranormal Liberation Front and gaining the respect of Gigantomachia, Daruma Ujiko subjected a willing Tomura to body modification surgery. Although the details of this surgery and its effects are unknown, the doctor believes that it will allow Tomura to surpass the strength of One For All. During his fight against Endeavor, it was shown that his body modification greatly increased his physical strength, to the point where he was able to overpower Endeavor and Ryukyu without even using an alter, or when he was able to move through the air to avoid Endeavor's attack by his sheer physical strength

Equipment
Disembodied Hands: The most distinctive element on Tomura's villain costume is a set of fourteen disembodied hands that cover his upper body and face. These hands are actually the remains of his deceased family that he accidentally killed when his Disintegration Alter first manifested and those of two bullies he killed when he was younger. The hands were kept and preserved by Daruma Ujiko, who returned them to Tomura when the latter was saved by All For One. They don't seem to have any particular power, except that they seem to ease Tomura's conscience, who admitted that these hands make him feel calm and peaceful, but sometimes make him feel nauseous. During his fight with Re-Destro, most of the hands were crushed and Tomura ended up disintegrating his father's hand, the one he used to wear on his face. This was a way for him to free himself from his painful past. The hand he wears on the back of his head is none other than that of his paternal grandmother, Nana.
Relations
Alliance of Super-Villains
All For One
All For One is Tenko's master and the one who saved him during his childhood. He trains Tenko to be his successor. During the incident in Kamino, All For One told Tenko that even though he failed, he must keep trying telling him that he is there to help him achieve his goals and that his actions are for Tenko.
All For One is happy to see Tenko start to make his own way when he manages to create the Genesis Squadron, which captured Katsuki Bakugo. At the beginning of his fight with All Might, All For One activated Black Mist's Alter, giving Tenko and his team the opportunity to escape. When the fight began to escalate, and Tenko did not take the Black Mist portal immediately, All For One forced them all to leave the fight scene. Tenko was concerned about All For One's situation, yelling at him that he's not ready, before being swept away by Black Mist's Alter.
It is not known at this time if he knows or cares that it was All For One who killed his grandmother, Nana Shimura.
Black Mist
Black Mist was loyal to Tomura, while the development of the latter was entrusted to Black Mist by All For One. Tenko valued Black Mist, considering him important during the SCA attack. Black Mist usually follows Tenko's orders, unless he thinks they are too rash. For example, Black Mist stopped Tenko when Tenko tried to kill Crematorium and Toga, telling Tenko that if he wants to accomplish anything, he must expand the League, that he must recruit, not expel.
When Black Mist was captured, Tenko was annoyed, noticing at one point that it had been a month since he was captured, proving how important Black Mist is to Tenko.
Daruma Ujiko
Shigaraki has known Daruma since All For One rescued him. They had little interaction and it was Daruma who gave Tenko the remains of his family, killed when he lost control of his Alter.
When they met, Tenko received a lot of criticism after his first fight against Gigantomachia, blaming him for not progressing, for not having accomplished anything concrete since All For One was captured. Daruma asks Tenko what he has to offer in exchange for his help. Tenko replies that he wants to destroy everything and tells him that he can show him a glimpse of heaven and hell on earth. Daruma tells him that it is a child's dream but admires his passion. Daruma finally accepts that Tenko has his power but tells him that The League has yet to prove itself and asks Tenko to make Gigantomachia bend the knee. Only then will Tenko get full help from Daruma.
Gigantomachia
Tenko was initially impressed when he met Gigantomachia, realizing that this was the power Black Mist was talking about. His opinion quickly changed after the giant challenged Tenko to a fight. Gigantomachia went into a rage when he noticed that Tenko was weak, realizing that he was not as powerful as All For One. He doesn't accept Tenko as his successor and Tenko doesn't want Machia.
Later in the manga, after seeing Daruma, Tenko goes back to fight Gigantomachia, declaring that his future king is back. After almost a month and a half of fighting, Gigantomachia says that Tenko is still weak. Tenko is determined to bring Gigantomachia to his feet.
Crematorium
At their first meeting, Crematorium expressed disgust at the sight of Tomura. Tomura replied that Crematorium is a bad guy and asked Kurogiri to teleport Toga and Crematorium away. Even though Tomura was already annoyed by Crematorium's attitude, Crematorium refused to give his real name, saying that he would tell him in due time. He tried to kill Toga and Crematorium, annoyed at hearing Stain's name. Black Mist stopped the trio and Tomura left the lair, visibly irritated.
Despite the bad start, Crematorium agreed to follow Tomura's orders. Tomura considers him and the rest of the Genesis Squadron to be reliable allies. Crematorium is also one of the few members of The League who tries to recruit other members to join the group. During the battle against the Superpower Liberation Army, Crematorium also decided to kill people after seeing Tomura do it.
Toga Himiko
During their first meeting, Tomura called Toga childish and retarded, saying that he didn't understand anything she said about Stain. Tired of hearing about Stain and unconvinced by her presentation, Tomura tried to kill her and Crematorium, who responded to the attack, but were stopped by Black Mist. Toga confided, after Tomura left, that she thought she would be killed.
Later, when Genesis Squadron went to attack Yuei's students at summer camp, Tomura told Black Mist that no matter if the Squadron members succeeded or failed, they would show the world that they were there. Black Mist said that Tomura was talking about them as if he wanted to get rid of them. Tomura replied that no, he sees Toga and the others as reliable and strong, telling Black Mist that he is not that cruel.
When Overhaul asked for Toga and Twice to be part of his plan, Tomura replied that he would not let them go, considering them to be the most competent members of his group and the "backbone" of his entire operation. Hearing that she would have to work with Overhaul, Toga pointed a knife at Tomura playfully, asking her why she should do something so unpleasant. Tomura replied, even removing his hand from his face, which turned out to be calm and composed. He told her that she and Twice must do this for the good of the League. He also explained that he believes that Toga and Twice's help would be beneficial to Overhaul. Tomura then told them that he believes in her and Twice.
Spinner
The relationship between the two characters seemed to be complicated when the League found itself in financial trouble, even being forced to steal from other crime groups. Spinner confronted Tomura, asking him how much longer the League would live on like this, to which he replied until their initial mission was over.
Their relationship seemed to improve, however, when they were forced to confront the Superpower Liberation Army. Knowing Tomura was in bad shape and they had just been hit by an ice attack, Spinner went so far as to ask him if everything was okay. He was also impressed by Tomura's attack when Tomura managed to decimate a large part of the army. Spinner seems to have a certain respect for Tomura and pays attention to him.
Twice
Tomura sees Twice as someone essential to the League, when Overhaul asked for Twice to be part of his plan and Tomura replied that he would not let him down like that. Tomura showed great confidence in Twice, telling him face to face that he believed in him.
Twice also tried to multiply Alter's destructive bullets for Tomura but he failed to do so and was extremely affected because of it. He also helped Tomura fight Gigantomachia by creating clones of him. Twice seemed devoted to Tomura when Tomura sent one of his clones to catch him to protect him from the army's attacks. He even offered to rest on him when he saw how tired his leader was. Tomura was impressed with Twice's ability to multiply, to which he replied that he hoped to be of use to Tomura and also helped him, by creating more clones, to make his way to Re-Destro's tower.
Other villains
Stain
Tomura hates him very much. They first met when Black Mist tried to recruit Stain. The meeting didn't go well and Stain ended up hurting Tomura, sticking two of his blades into his shoulders, telling him that if you want to accomplish something, you have to have convictions. Tomura then asked Black Mist to teleport him away from the base, but Black Mist is paralyzed because of Stain's Alter. Stain finally tells Tomura that they have the same goals; to destroy the current society. Nevertheless, Tomura ordered Black Mist to take the Hero Killer away from here, not wanting a freak like him on his team.
Later, Tomura tried to eliminate the Hero Killer by sending Brainless to attack the city of Hosu. His plan failed and Stain became even more famous than Tomura and his Brainless attack. When Stain was captured, people continued to talk about him, which greatly angered Tomura. Later, he even tried to kill his supporters, Crematorium and Toga, angered by hearing his name.
After his conversation with Izuku, Tomura found out why he hated the Hero Killer; it was because of All Might. (Stain said that the only hero worth killing would be the symbol of peace, All Might.) Desiring a society without All Might, Tomura developed his own beliefs and decided to use Stain's ideology as a springboard.
Overhaul
Tomura shows immense hatred towards Overhaul due to his arrogant attitude after he noticed the lack of organization of The League and after he killed Magnet. The League of Villains had some interest in Overhaul and his organization before he exposed his motives.
The meeting ended in a conflict between the two groups, resulting in injuries to both. This conflict angered the League more. Despite this, Overhaul still believed in the value of the League and invited Tomura to think about everything that was said and to contact him when he calmed down, the sooner the better.
When Overhaul was beaten by Izuku and taken to the hospital, Tomura attacked the policemen who escorted him. He then told the reasons why he hates Overhaul, who seemed unimpressed by the League's presence but became angry when they stole the drug that suppresses the Alters. His rage turned to fear when Tomura disintegrated and cut off one of his arms. Tomura, victorious, shouted at the now defenseless Overhaul that he had devoted his life to his creation but that it was now his..
Re-Destro
Tomura doesn't seem to have much of an opinion on Re-Destro, other than that he believes Re-Destro's actions are a detriment to his own goals. Later, they spoke together and Tomura insulted him. Re-Destro retorted by pointing out the number of soldiers in his army and that he knows where the Super-Villain Alliance is hiding. Re-Destro said that Tomura and his organization are too famous and that he needs them to disappear so that his Liberation Army will be known. He gave Tomura the choice of fighting with them or having the pro heroes take down the Alliance. Tomura personally told Spinner that Re-Destro was an enemy after he forced his members to fight for Giran and intended to eliminate him. Tomura met Re-Destro after he destroyed his tower and was amused by his real identity as a company president before preparing to fight him.
Yuei High School
Izuku Midoriya
Izuku and Tomura hate each other; Tomura despises Izuku for his admiration of All Might (whom he hates deeply) while Izuku disagrees with Tomura's actions, telling him that, unlike Stain, Tomura takes it all as a game. During the incident at SCA, Izuku saved All Might. It was then that Tomura became interested in the young boy, as when he watched him fight in the Yuei championship. Later, Tomura met Izuku at the Kiyashi Shopping Center, asking him for his autograph and telling him that they must be related. Tomura put his hand around Izuku's neck and offered to talk with him, which Izuku had to accept. Tomura asked Izuku what the difference was between him and Stain. Tomura advised Izuku to calm down during their discussion, threatening him with dust and killing some citizens.
After hearing Izuku's arguments, Tomura realized that the answer was right in front of him and thanked Izuku for helping him understand that it always comes back to All Might. Before leaving, Tomura told Izuku that the next time they meet, it will be to kill him.
Tomura is the reflection of evil, while Izuku is the reflection of good. Izuku wants to become the greatest hero while Tomura wants to be the greatest villain.
Katsuki Bakugo
Tomura met Katsuki the first time at the SCA, when he wanted to attack him and the others before All Might appeared. Tomura showed his interest in Katsuki when he won the Yuei championship. Tomura is seen looking at a picture of Katsuki, saying that the villains are not the only ones who are frustrated by society. Tomura sent the Genesis Squadron to capture him and the mission was a success.
When they met again, Tomura wanted Katsuki to join the League. Katsuki refused, saying that he had always admired All Might and wanted to become a hero. Katsuki, once untied, attacked Tomura by throwing an explosion in his face. Katsuki was eventually rescued by his classmates and considered Tomura an enemy.
Heroes Pro
All Might
Tomura had never met All Might before until he attacked Yuei High School. Despite this, he has a visceral hatred for All Might from the beginning.
Tomura hates the current hero society. He considers this adoration of All Might to be the reason for this situation, that people live in peace because the "symbol of peace" exists. The mere fact that All Might is still alive disgusts him to the core.
One can assume why Tomura hates this society, if one goes back to his childhood; there was an accident during his childhood and no hero came to save him. Tomura will say that All Might smiles all the time, as if he had no one he couldn't save. It was All For One who saved him and took him as a disciple, raising him with his principles and nourishing this hatred.
All Might and Tomura eventually met during the SCA's arc when the latter sent an attack to the SCA in hopes of killing the symbol of peace. Disappointed by All Might's absence, Tomura decided to kill some students from Yuei High School to see if All Might would appear to save them. With the arrival of All Might, Tomura resumed his plan of attack and, after a long and hard fight with a Brainless, which left All Might seriously injured, Tomura failed and was forced to retreat after being seriously injured by Snipe.
His hatred for All Might grew when All Might appeared to save Katsuki and defeated and imprisoned his mentor, All For One.
On the other hand, All Might hates Tomura Shigaraki in the first place, considering him as a criminal willing to do harm wherever he goes. However, All Might changed his mind about him when he found out that Tomura was none other than the grandson of his mentor, Nana Shimura. It is really from this moment that All Might did not consider Tomura as a simple criminal.Tomura had never met All Might before until he attacked Yuei High School. Family
Until his fight with Re-Destro, Tomura had no memory of his family, having occasional flashbacks.
However, Tomura seemed to have a good relationship with his mother, sister, and maternal grandparents, remembering them as kind, before they were unfortunately accidentally killed because of his Disintegration Alter. He was even proud to know that Nana Shimura, his paternal grandmother, was a professional hero.
After his Alter declared itself, Tenko had frightened his family because of his actions but accidentally killed them while he begged his family members to help him. His father, after discovering the carnage, tried to stop his son as he begged for help, completely terrified. By attacking his son, Kotaro awakened Tenko's murderous instincts, and Tenko willingly killed him for the harm he had caused him.
In the end, although he felt sad about killing his family, Tomura said he was relieved to see his mother and other family members disintegrate, going so far as to say that it wasn't a tragedy, wishing in his heart that something like this would happen.
Hana Shimura
Tomura seemed to have a very good relationship with his sister. When they were children, Hana showed Tenko a picture of their father and grandmother, Nana Shimura. She cheerfully told him that no matter what their father said, Hana would always be on Tenko's side. It was also shown that Hana cared about her brother, especially when he was in trouble. From the memories that were shown in his flashback, Tenko seemed very attached to his sister and showed some distress when he realized that his sister's disembodied hand was half destroyed.
Kotaro Shimura
Kotaro was Tomura's father but their relationship seemed very complicated. Tenko claimed that he wanted to be a hero but his father had banned the word, hating them intensely because he had been abandoned by his mother who was a professional hero. Tenko was afraid of his father's violent reactions and one day, when he came across a picture of his father and his grandmother, Nana Shimura, Kotaro found out and did the irreparable; he hit his son violently. He even thought that his father hated him.
However, when his Alter first broke out, Tenko willingly killed his father, unlike the rest of the family.
