Stark is a human warrior. After his village was attacked by demons, he fled and became Eisen's apprentice.
Following Eisen's instructions, he joined Frieren's group as a vanguard.

Personality
Stark has a charismatic and kind personality, making him well-liked in the communities he frequents. He is often adored by older villagers and popular among children, sometimes serving as a mentor or role model. Stark, in return, feels great compassion for them and is ready to risk his life to protect them from threats. Frieren trusts him, having willingly placed her life in his hands since recruiting him as a vanguard. He has been described by people, like Sein, as a good-hearted child.
Despite his incredible diligence and warrior training under Eisen for years, Stark is also a coward, terrified of monsters and often considering fleeing from tough battles, a quality he despises in himself. His hands tremble with fear before a fight, much like his own master. However, in perilous situations, he can gather the courage to fight, even at the cost of his own life. As a child, his older brother Stoltz noticed that he was highly focused during training, a trait that persists to this day.
Compared to Fern, who is much more mature, Stark can appear somewhat childish and irresponsible. He sometimes makes crude remarks and tends to stay up late drinking fruit juice when Fern is not around to supervise him. This leads him to apologize profusely and weakly when Fern starts reprimanding him.
Appearance
Stark has spiky red hair with black roots and orange eyes. He typically wears a sleeveless black shirt with a collar and white fastenings, loose black pants, black boots, a white belt around his waist, and bandages around his arms. In cold weather, he wears a black turtleneck sweater. Outside, he dons a red coat with cream-colored cuffs and collar and black mittens. His weapon, a large gray and silver double-headed axe, is strapped to his back with a shoulder belt. On his wrist, he wears a silver bracelet gifted by Fern for his eighteenth birthday.
In the past, Stark was depicted wearing a light toga-like robe, similar to Fern's. He didn't wear ornaments on his arms or hair but had two ankle bracelets. He also wore a necklace with several pendants.
When facing Macht, Stark wears shoes and socks decorated with ribbons, as well as a loose jacket. The rest of his outfit remains the same as his Continental Magic Association attire.
Abilities
Trained by Eisen, the great warrior of the Hero Group, Stark's body has been reinforced far beyond that of an ordinary human. Eisen's training and Stark's travels with Frieren and Fern have allowed him to develop sharp combat instincts and the ability to withstand attacks that would kill most humans, even among experienced warriors. Eisen's brutal approach to Stark's training taught him that his greatest strength as a warrior lies in his immense resilience and ability to recover quickly from physical attacks. He fights with the belief that as long as he gets back up, he hasn't truly lost the battle. This mentality, combined with his already impressive physical abilities, makes him a formidable opponent. Often, his enemies are forced to face him first, by all means, to even have a chance to approach the mages in the group.
Superhuman Strength: Stark possesses robust physical prowess, instilled by Eisen's training.
Superhuman Speed and Agility
Quick Reflexes: Stark has fast reflexes, and on many occasions, his quick reactions have saved him, such as when he moves wounds that would have been fatal had he been struck in a different part of his body.
High Pain Tolerance: Stark's extreme resistance allows him to endure direct attacks and recover multiple times. His pain tolerance also extends to toxins, as he managed to withstand a poisoned arrow and survive long enough to be treated. According to Sein, if another member of Frieren's group had been struck by the arrow, death would have been instantaneous.
Axe Mastery: Stark is highly skilled with the axe, having been trained by the legendary warrior Eisen.
