Rayne Ames's Appearance
Rayne is an attractive young man with a unique appearance: his hair is blonde on the right side and black on the left. He has pale yellow eyes, and three magic marks adorn his face—one under his right eye and two others descending down the left side.
He wears the classic Easton Magic Academy uniform, consisting of a white long-sleeved button-up shirt, a black robe, a red tie, black trousers, and brown shoes.
Rayne's Personality
Rayne generally displays a serious, cold, and somewhat distant attitude. His neutral and indifferent expression often masks his true emotions. However, beneath this cold exterior, he shows genuine kindness toward those he values or who pique his interest.
When facing enemies, Rayne demonstrates merciless cruelty, not hesitating to use brutal methods to achieve his goals.
Despite his stoic air, Rayne harbors a true passion for rabbits. He owns many rabbits and collects items featuring them, bordering on obsession.
History of Rayne Ames
His Past
Little is known about Rayne's origins. He was born into the Ames family alongside his younger brother, Finn. Orphaned at a very young age after the loss of their parents, the two brothers had to survive in precarious conditions, as no family members were willing to take them in. They frequently moved and struggled for their daily survival.
Upon joining Easton Magic Academy, Rayne quickly distinguished himself as one of the top students. These hardships drove him to aspire to become a Divine Visionary, hoping to create a fairer world where orphans like him and Finn could live in peace.
Easton Enrollment Arc
Rayne is introduced in a newspaper article announcing that he has been named a Divine Visionary of Easton Magic Academy due to his exceptional achievements. This title grants him noble status and a generous financial reward.
Magia Lupus Arc
When he briefly returns to the academy after a trip, Rayne saves Dot Barrett and Finn Ames, who were injured and trapped in the basements. With his incredible magic, he defeats Milo Genius, the Fourth Fang, showcasing both his strength and his determination to protect his comrades.
Rayne's Powers and Abilities
Partisan
Rayne utilizes a unique magic called Partisan, which allows him to create and manipulate swords at will. These swords are extremely fast and destructive.
- Three Percent Partisan: Summons three swords to attack.
- Ten Percent Partisan: Summons ten swords at once.
- Partisan Surf: Creates a levitating sword that he uses as a fast means of transport.
Ares: The God of War
As a triple-liner, Rayne can summon the god Ares, transforming his wand into a black trident and considerably increasing his magical powers.

Finn Ames
Although he acts tough toward his younger brother, Rayne does everything to protect him. Their bond deepens after shared trials, revealing that Finn is the most important person to Rayne.
Mash Burnedead
Initially suspicious of Mash, Rayne eventually comes to respect him for his determination to become a Divine Visionary without magic—a goal aligned with his own quest for a fairer world.
