The Heirs of the Nine Titans in Attack on Titan
The heirs of the Nine Titans are among the most important characters in Attack on Titan, such as Eren Jäger, Ymir Fritz, and Reiner Braun.

Although the Cart Titan is not the most powerful of the Nine Titans, its heir in the manga series, Pieck, quickly became one of the most beloved warriors after being properly introduced in Volume 23. The Cart Titan had already been spotted during certain moments of the Return to Shiganshina arc. As Pieck became a central character toward the end of the series, she delivered several memorable quotes that are worth revisiting.
10. "I don't trust that soldier. Follow us."
When Yelena, disguised as a Marleyan soldier, ordered the warriors to follow her, Pieck felt a bad premonition, especially after Yelena asked Zeke to abandon them. On their way, they crossed paths with the Panzer Unit, and Pieck thanked them for everything they had done while whispering to a soldier that she didn't trust Yelena. Thanks to this warning, the Panzer Unit saved the Cart and Jaw Titans, preventing a far more disastrous outcome during the Battle of Liberio.
9. "Don't panic. This battlefield is under our control."
Full quote: "Don't panic. This battlefield is under our control. We are tightening the noose on all our enemies. They have limited resources and are trapped in enemy territory without supply lines. The Paradis forces never had the manpower necessary to face Marley in a real war."
During the battle, Pieck and Porco decided to protect Zeke without knowing he planned to betray them. This quote shows her confidence, although she was gravely mistaken about the outcome of the fight.
8. "Even if we recover the Founding Titan, it won't be enough to overcome the global hatred toward Eldians."
Aware that modern weapons were becoming more powerful than titans, Pieck expressed her doubts during a strategic meeting. She doubted that even possessing the Founding Titan would be enough to protect Eldians against the rising global hostilities.

7. "Commander, I remember now. The Marleyan soldier who trapped us in that hole, I saw her three years ago."
Although she didn't immediately recognize Yelena, Pieck eventually remembered her as a soldier from the first survey fleet. This memory made it clear that Yelena had betrayed Marley to work with the Yeagers.
6. "I don't trust Marley. I pray for the Eldians' freedom, but I trust those who fight by my side."
After faking a betrayal of Marley, Pieck revealed to Gabi that she had always been faithful to her fellow soldiers, even if she didn't believe in the Marleyan cause.
5. "I became a warrior so my father could receive proper medical care."
Pieck revealed that she became a warrior to ensure care for her sick father. Although her father survived, he has been filled with sadness since learning that Pieck likely won't live much longer.

4. "I hate to admit it, but you're right. General Magath left us one final order: to work together."
After Magath's death, Pieck followed his last wishes by joining the other warriors to stop the Rumbling, even though it didn't fulfill her prayers for Eldian freedom.
3. "I can't shoot. And I don't think I can devour you."
During a confrontation with Eren, Pieck tried to threaten him, but deep down she knew she didn't have the will to kill him.
2. "Ever since I met him, I've always thought Zeke was lying. But four years ago, I confirmed my suspicions."
Pieck admitted she had doubts about Zeke from the beginning, but this was confirmed during their first meeting with Eren.

This quote from Pieck cruelly summarizes the reality Eldians are faced with, echoing harsh truths that are applicable to the real world.
