In recent years, My Hero Academia has surpassed many competitors to become one of the most popular anime and manga series of all time.
The plot takes place in a future where four-fifths of the population possess some kind of superhuman "Quirk," leading society to establish a superhero system. A large part of the action happens at U.A. High School, the institution where many main characters train to become top-tier heroes.

Ochaco Uraraka is one of the standout students at this school. She is a dynamic, sociable, and truly heroic person, and she has shared some of the most inspiring and motivating lines of the series during her quest to become an accomplished heroine.
"Giving up isn't an option for me!"
Ochaco is one of the most innocent characters in My Hero Academia, but she perfectly understands her responsibilities as a hero. Inspired by her classmates, she sets the same determination never to give up, motivated in part by her desire to use her hero earnings to provide a better life for her parents—a truly noble cause.
"What would Deku do in a situation like this?"
Ochaco can sometimes be slow to make decisions, but in this specific case (against Thirteen during the final exam), she overcomes her indecisiveness by asking herself what Deku, whom she admires, would do in her place. This reflection helps her regain her composure and put the situation into perspective.
"Everyone is giving it their all, so it's only right that I do the same."
During the school festival, Ochaco sees Iida and Deku split up and form separate teams despite their friendship, which encourages her to do the same rather than rely on others' talents. She wishes to forge her own path to the finals, showcasing her own individual strengths without being influenced by the talents of others.

"I'm going to train as hard as him."
Once again, Ochaco's primary source of motivation is her peers. This is especially visible in later episodes where she works alongside Pro Heroes—she relies on them to encourage her to fulfill her mission. Throughout the anime, she is often torn between the desire to be independent and the need for guidance, but she has found a healthy way to combine the two. She decided to train as intensely as Deku to reach his level by developing her own strengths.
"I'm going to become a hero."
And here it is. The affirmation of Ochaco's abilities, an unwavering declaration motivated by the support of her friends and parents, as well as her desire to help others—the very reason she decided to become a hero. Many young heroes in My Hero Academia have expressed the same desire, but none with such conviction.
"And for that, you're acting so threatening..."
Despite her naive demeanor, Ochaco is one of the most observant students in Class 1-A. When she notices Bakugo acting more aggressively toward Deku than others, she correctly identifies that this is due to his fear and feeling threatened by Deku's power and ambition.
"I have to stay calm and careful."
Ochaco is confident in her conviction that she will one day become an extraordinary hero, but that doesn't stop her from having to remind herself what she needs to do. Positive affirmation is what drives her to succeed, whether by her own initiative or through the support of others, and this often leads her to repeat inspiring lines like this to herself.

"I've only just started!"
Like the other young heroes of Class 1-A, Ochaco's journey is far from over. Although her high ambitions may be tested by time, her optimistic personality and desire to succeed, even in the most difficult situations, will always be present. In reality, she's only just begun.
"Let's all work hard together and laugh together again!"
This quote comes during the "Moving into Dorms" episode, where the students face the consequences of their actions during the previous hideout raid arc. At the end of the episode, Tsuyu admits she is struggling to handle everything that happened, prompting Ochaco (ever the peacemaker) to try and reconcile everyone so they can "laugh together" once more.
"I'm going to win! I'm going to win and be just like Deku too!"
Ochaco says this during her fight with Bakugo at the U.A. Sports Festival combat tournament (a fight she loses, though she gave it her all). She repeats this line during her confrontation with Himiko Toga, when Toga speaks about wanting to be like someone else—a desire with a literal application regarding Toga's Quirk, but which can also be interpreted metaphorically for Ochaco's idolization of Deku. For better or worse, wanting to be like someone else is what drives Ochaco to act.
