Personality
Metal is a passionate and dedicated shinobi, just like his father, Rock Lee. He differs from his father, however, in his extreme anxiety, which makes him very clumsy and goofy. During his time at the Academy, Metal Lee puts pressure on himself and demands excellence. Unfortunately, unlike his father, he has extreme stage fright, and the fear of failing and being ridiculed makes him totally incapable of accomplishing anything in front of others. It's a fact, however, that without all this stress, Metal is a very talented aspiring ninja, especially in taijutsu and ninja weapon throwing.
Appearance
Metal bears a striking resemblance to his father, with dark eyes, a bowl-cut black haircut and thick eyebrows. However, his eyes are more almond-shaped. He wears a green jumpsuit with orange-striped leggings, a neck warmer and bandages on his hands.
Skills
Like his father, Metal specializes in taijutsu. He showed great strength and endurance. At one point, encouraged by Gaï Maito, he showed himself capable of unconsciously opening the first door of the psychic chakra locks, thanks to a state of maximum nervousness. In this state of extreme stress, his fighting style resembled that of the drunken man, naturally mastered by his father.
Epilogue
During the day of the Five Kage Summit, Metal is seen in the company of Rock Lee, rigorously following his father's training and repeating his leitmotiv about youth.

SummaryIn the future, an older Boruto confronts Kawaki in a ruined Konoha village. Kawaki explains that the shinobi era is over. Both activate their power seals. Boruto activates a dôjutsu in his right eye, and the two return to battle.
In the present, after rescuing a boy from a racket, who turns out to be the heir to a huge company, Boruto learns that the boy, like himself, is about to enter the Academy. As he leaves his new classmate, Naruto's son tells him how, in his opinion, one should free oneself from his father's authority: by "getting in his face". The young boy, saved by Boruto, returns home. After a brief discussion with his father, he leaves the room. As he leaves the room, a mysterious shadow takes hold of the boy. The next day, the day of the Academy's admission ceremony, Boruto sees the boy he saved the day before, but he seems to be under the spell of an evil shadow. Boruto decides to follow him on a train.
However, the train turns out to be faulty. Denki, possessed by the shadow and seeking revenge on the previous day's racketeers, starts up another train on the same line as the non-functioning train. He explains that the two trains will collide, killing the 3 racketeers as well as himself and Boruto. Boruto manages to reason with Denki in time, and the shadow that possesses the boy fades. The children are saved, but it's out of the question for Boruto and Denki to arrive late for the Academy admission ceremony. They manage to get the train off the tracks and into the air. The train crashes into Naruto's stone face. They finally arrive in time, but it's not without consequences.

- The name Metal Lee is derived from the heavy metal music genre and is a reference to Bruce Lee, whose first name is pronounced the same way as blues in Japanese. It's a continuation of the pun that was made with his father, Rock Lee.
