Hajime Kokonoi or Koko (ココ), is a former commander of the Tenth Generation Black Dragons, a former member of the First Toman Division and the former treasurer of Tenjiku. Currently, he is a Bonten executive.

Koko is slim and tall. He has medium-length black hair that falls on the right side of his face, while the left side is shaved to form rectangles. He has piercing black eyes that give him a fierce air, and large, arched eyebrows that give his face the impression of being constantly angry. He often wears dressy clothes that match the details of his golden earrings.
Koko sees the world as a series of calculations. He acts solely in his own interest. Every move he makes is for his own benefit. He gets close to those who are more powerful than him, but will turn his back on them the moment they lose their instrumentality.
When the news of Akane's death reached him, Koko was unable to face the reality that the love of his life was gone, and with it his ability to do anything about it. Now completely lost, he clings to Inui both as a substitute for the loss of Akane and his money, and as a means of preventing himself from falling apart internally.

Koko has an unrivalled financial capacity. From an early age, he researched multiple ways of making money by reading books and learning sometimes illegal methods. As a result, he was able to implement complex criminal schemes involving stealing and investing this money in criminals so that they would steal and engage in criminal activities for him, in turn generating greater profits for himself.
Despite his economic skills, he also proved to be a capable fighter against Inui.

When Kokonoi was younger, he was deeply in love with Inui's sister Akane, even though she is 5 years his senior. He once tried to kiss Akane while she was asleep in the library, but she surprised him. He confessed his feelings to her, and Akane accepted them until they were older.
However, tragedy struck. One night, a huge fire broke out in the Inui house. Defying all odds, Kokonoi rushed valiantly into the house, rescuing the woman he thought was Akane, but who turned out to be Seishu. As a result of the fire, Akane suffered severe burns and fell into a coma. The treatment was to cost 40 million yen, a price even Akane's parents couldn't afford.
So Kokonoi did everything he could to learn finance in order to raise funds to save Akane. He realized that the quickest way was to turn to crime, so he recruited delinquents to do his job. All to no avail, as Akane eventually succumbed to her injuries. Kokonoi became even more obsessed with money, trying to fill the void left by Akane's death.
