Apparence
Jin Bubaigawara is an adult male with blond hair and blue-gray eyes. He has a large scar on his forehead from a past incident. His civilian attire consists of a blue collared shirt over a white tank top with a normal pair of pants and boots.
Twice's villain costume is a black and gray tunic that completely covers his body, along with gray boots. The upper half of his mask is gray with white eye sockets while the lower half covering his mouth is black. Twice also has red and green sports bracelets that store his measuring tapes.
The majority of Twice's jumpsuit is black other than the section on his lower legs and the gray designs that appear to form a "T" and "W" on his chest. The "T" is formed by a horizontal line across his upper torso and a vertical line rising from his abdomen. Another line snakes up to his lower torso and divides to his thighs, which then rises to his hips forming a "W".
Personality
Twice has a unique personality: he is explosive, vivacious, and comes across as very comical, enjoying dramatic poses and eccentric facial expressions. He constantly contradicts himself, making a statement in one voice and immediately saying the opposite in another. For example, he insulted Crematorium and congratulated it in the next sentence.
The most important thing for him is the buddies. He was desperate to rescue Giran, the person who recommended him to join the alliance, when Giran was kidnapped by the superpower liberation army. Jin was sad for him because the fingers that the members of this army cut him were the ones with which he held his cigarettes.
He knows that he is deranged and accepts it as a villain. Jin is actually much more complex than he appears: he believes that understanding his own identity is the most important aspect of life, he joined the supervillain alliance because they accepted his insanity and made him comfortable in his skin.
Without his mask, Jin suffers more heavily from something akin to dissociative identity disorder: masked, Twice contradicts himself and acts completely naturally about it; but unmasked, his split personalities argue with each other. He panics and threatens to "split" until he puts his mask back on and becomes "whole. Jin's identity crisis stems from a tragic accident that drove him to madness, changing his previous authoritarian and lazy persona. He has low self-confidence about who he really is and believes that he might be a clone that killed the original.
During his confrontation with Tomoyasu Chikazoku's puppets, Jin is revealed to be a lonely individual who created clones. Injured by the fake clones, he overcame his trauma after realizing that he was the original and did not hesitate to protect Himiko Toga. However, his clones still show conflict over who the original is, although they are willing to work beyond that for their purposes.
History and Biography
When Jin was in middle school, his parents were killed in the middle of a criminal shooting, leaving him an orphan because he had no one to raise him. He was able to find a job because the owner was kind enough to give him food and shelter.
Jin was eventually caught in an accident when he hit someone with a motorcycle. Fortunately, the victim survived with only a broken arm. Jin was then taken to the police, where he explained that the victim had jumped in front of his bike and that he was obeying the law and the speed limit. Realizing this, the police officer let him go and only told him that he would probably have a criminal record because of this incident, but assured him that it is never too late to do it again.
Jin was fired from his job and evicted from his residence by his boss, who had received an angry complaint from one of their regular customers that the victim of the motorcycle accident was a member of his staff and said he would never return to their company. This enraged his boss and caused him to vent his anger at Jin by firing him and driving him away, leaving Jin homeless and in despair to walk around the city.
Eventually, his loneliness and depression became so severe that Jin used his own alter on himself. He did this to comfort himself and create someone he could trust. At first creating a single copy of himself to talk to and eventually be his friend, but eventually he began to use his alter to perform numerous armed robberies and heists. Using his immense numbers to commit various crimes, Jin eventually became one of the most wanted criminals in Japan.
Jin abused his powers by letting his copies do all the hard work for him. This eventually backfired, as all of his copies were perfect copies of himself, as they also shared his lazy attitude and did not want to do all the hard work either.
Jin's clones revolted and almost killed Jin, cutting off his forehead and tying him to a chair. They argued over who was the real Jin and fought for nine days until all the clones slaughtered each other and only one Jin was left. Since the incident, Jin has had a hard time coming to terms with being a clone.
Some time after the incident, he met Giran who then told him that surprisingly many people look like him in the world and recommended that he join a group of comrades similar to himself, Giran then promised to introduce him to one of these groups.
Arc Summer Camp
Jin joined the group that accepted a madman like him, the Super Villains Alliance. Taking on the role of the villain Twice, Jin was recruited after Stain and was assigned to the Genesis Squadron. The villain's first mission was to attack the high school's training camp and strike a deadly blow to the hero society by kidnapping Katsuki Bakugo.
Twice was one of the last villains to attack the forest. He joins Dabi in a place where they are hidden by a wall of flames and toxic gases. Twice creates a clone of Dabi to attack the heroes' camp to prevent Eraser Head from protecting the students.
Aizawa destroys the clone and Twice mocks Dabi for his defeat. The blue-flamed villain retorts that it is his power that is weak and Twice backs down, claiming that Aizawa is very strong. Dabi tells his teammate to hurry up and make another clone. Twice replies that it won't work since Dabi is weak then contradicts himself and agrees to do it.
Jin sends another clone of Dabi after Vlad King and the students to the camp. Mister Compress finally manages to capture Katsuki and passes the message to the rest of the team.
Twice and Dabi head to the rendezvous point. Twice tells Crematorium that Compress did a good job and then contradicts himself by saying that it took too long. The villain tells Jin not to insult their wizard ally and adds that Mustard must have been defeated since the gas disappeared. Twice, says that nothing is going as planned, then is told that it is all part of the plan. He also reminds Dabi to call back the Brainless Chainsaw after telling him to release it early.
Twice and Dabi regroup with Himiko Toga at the meeting point in the forest. Himiko only managed to get the blood of one person instead of three as she was supposed to. Twice scolds her for this but Himiko explains that things got hectic during her fight. She adds that she has made new friends and found a new crush. Twice replies that he is flattered but not interested and claims to like her. Suddenly, three of Yuei's students attack Compress and tackle him to the ground. Shocked, Twice says he recognizes the kids and asks who they are.
Dabi pulls the students away from Mister Compress with a fire attack. Twice shouts that the fire is cold. He recognizes Izuku Midoriya and Shoto Todoroki from Tomura's list and targets the latter. Shoto uses an ice attack but Twice eccentrically uses his acrobatics to escape the ice. He says the ice is hot and uses his sharp tape measure to cut through it. He asks Shoto to go easy on him and then tells him to try harder.
Kurogiri arrives to pull the villains to safety. Twice jumps head first into the portal and meets his allies at the Alliance hideout.
Arc Raid vs. Alliance of Super-Villains
Tomura Shigaraki and the Super Villains Alliance present their cause to Katsuki. Tomura explains that the villains are trying to disrupt the hero society and reform justice in their image. He asks Dabi to release Katsuki from his restraints, but Dabi tells Twice to do so. Twice refuses at first, then gives in and frees Katsuki. Katsuki immediately kicks twice and destroys Tomura's mask with an explosion. Yuei's student tells the villains that he will never join them because he wants to win and be a hero like All Might.
Twice and his allies prepare to overpower Katsuki. Tomura keeps his cool and tells his comrades to withdraw. He asks his master to lend him the power to force Katsuki to submit. They are suddenly interrupted when Kamino's pizzeria knocks on the door. It confuses and attracts the attention of Twice and the villains. While they are distracted, All Might bursts through the back wall of the hideout. God Sylvester follows him and holds all the villains with his Technique: Root Prison.
Twice asks the "tree man" to loosen the vines and begs him to squeeze tighter. Gran Torino appears and the heroes advise the villains to give up. The old man reveals most of the identities of the Alliance, including Jin. Kurogiri is knocked out by Edgeshot and no nomu arrives to support the villains. The villains lose their only method of escape and the heroes declare checkmate.
Just when all hope is lost for the villains, a mysterious black liquid transfers nomu into the hideout. The same liquid deforms the villains and they reappear thanks to All For One at the nomu factory. All Might follows them and All For One holds him back. He orders them to take back Katsuki Bakugo before the heroes catch up with them.
Twice, with his allies, traps Katsuki and tries to take him by force. He uses his measuring tapes to attack but Katsuki avoids all the villains using explosions to move around them. Katsuki's classmates make a sudden successful rescue attempt and he escapes the battlefield. Twice, Compress, Spinner and Magne try to chase him but Gran Torino suddenly arrives and knocks them all out.
All For One uses Magne's alter to send everyone through a warp gate. The villains successfully escape but All For One is defeated by All Might and imprisoned. The Alliance survives and recovers in an abandoned building where Tomura vows to avenge his master.
Arc Stage
The supervillain alliance expands to multiple areas to keep the police off their trail and recruit new allies. Jin assumes the life of a civilian and lives in an apartment for a short time. Every morning, he smokes a cigarette and watches the citizens outside. One morning, he watches a news report on Endeavor as the new #1 hero after All Might's retirement.
Jin leaves the building and walks through the streets while thinking about what it means for someone to recognize himself. He comes across the Reservoir Dogs criminals robbing a store and notices criminals rising up and gathering. Giran calls Jin's phone and asks where Dabi is. Jin starts to have trouble juggling his multiple personalities so Giran lets him go.
Twice puts on his mask and becomes "whole" again. He walks down an alley and notices that the Reservoir Dogs team has been wiped out by a mysterious masked villain. Twice believes that this man is the perfect fool for the Alliance.
Twice talks to Overhaul and he agrees to meet with the Alliance. Twice takes him to a secret meeting place. Overhaul complains about the dust and says it will make him sick. Twice replies that everyone in the supervillain Alliance is sick anyway. They enter the hideout and Tomura congratulates Twice for recruiting a powerful villain.
Tomura explains that All For One told him that Overhaul was the young Yakuza leader of the Eight Precepts of Death. Overhaul confronts Tomura about the direction the villains should take and asks the Alliance to work under him. Tomura refuses and Magne tries to force Overhaul to leave. Overhaul shocks everyone when he suddenly murders Magne within seconds.
Mister Compress rushes to hold Overhaul back, but gets hit by a bullet that cancels the alters. The Overhaul followers rush into the building. Twice is surprised because he was sure they weren't followed. Tomura explains that they are using someone's alter. Twice rushes to Compress' side and Overhaul complains about the meeting becoming hostile. He asks that they talk again when things calm down, but Twice curses him and asks Tomura to let him take responsibility. Tomura tells his allies to stand down and allows the Yakuza to retreat.
Tomura finally meets the Eight Precepts and agrees to lend them Twice and Himiko Toga. This does not go well at all with one of them. Twice doesn't care about Overhaul's plan and reminds Tomura of what the Yakuza took from them. He is overwhelmed with guilt and pleads with Tomura to reconsider his decision. Twice even takes off his mask and reminds Tomura that he is still human. Himiko intervenes and turns her knife to Tomura's neck. She demands to know why he would do something so unpleasant to her when she only joined the Alliance to feel good.
Tomura surprises Twice and Himiko by taking off his mask. He says they have to do it for him and for all of theirs. The Eight Precepts are trying to overtake the supervillain Alliance and Tomura needs the duo to do what he thinks is best to help the Alliance. He trusts them to do their best and the duo is moved by Tomura's words.
The Yakuza are trying to overtake The Alliance and Tomura needs his allies to make the Yakuza believe they can conquer them. He tells Twice to take responsibility for his actions and tells the duo that he believes in them. Twice and Himiko are taken to the Yakuza's lair where they meet Overhaul and all of his top followers. Twice tells Overhaul that he will never forgive him and that it will be nice to work together.
Overhaul apologizes for killing Magne and Twice angrily reminds him that she identified as a woman. Then, Twice suddenly changes his attitude and asks what he should do, dismissing some of the Yakuza. Overhaul asks the details of their alter but Himiko refuses to answer because she hates him. Twice agrees that they will never be Yakuza and refuses to talk too.
Shin Nemoto uses his alter to make Twice explain to everyone how his alter works. He instantly regrets it and apologizes to Himiko for embarrassing her. Shin uses his alter again to ask if Tomura had the intention to betray them. Himiko and Twice deny all plans of betrayal. Overhaul orders the two to stay underground since they are wanted and Twice is not happy about being assigned to a residence.
Sir Nighteye's investigation leads a team of Heroes to the Yakuza hideout. Overhaul orders the temporary Yakuza to repel the enemy to cover his escape. Himiko and Twice are forced to work alongside Mimic to take down Sir Nighteye's team. Mimic separates the heroes and Twice confronts Sir Nighteye with a Kendo Rappa clone.
Twice says that Nighteye looks like a salaryman and orders Rappa to attack. Sir surprises everyone by dismantling the clone effortlessly. Twice's expression is particularly shocked. The clone melts and Twice claims that the Yakuza are useless. Sir Nighteye rips off half of Twice's mask with a compact weapon and Twice runs away. Mimic helps him retreat by putting up a wall behind him but Twice thinks Mimic might have crushed him.
Twice begins to panic and fears that he will break away. Himiko appears and wraps a cloth around Jin's exposed face to help calm him down. She sympathizes with him because she knows that Jin feels the greatest responsibility for Magne's death. Himiko says that the Yakuza are useless and working with them will give no reward. Instead, "Twoga" is inspired by Tomura's words to live as they want. They insult Mimic and throw him into a frenzy.
Mimic starts to warp the cave and tries to crush the villains and the heroes. Himiko decides to use the heroes to destroy the Yakuza. She asks Mimic to reveal his position by making him angry and the heroes defeat him. As he falls defeated, Twice and Himiko taunt him by waving goodbye.
Twice creates a clone of Mister Compress to get them out of the underground labyrinth. Himiko transforms into Izuku and leads the heroes to Overhaul. Twice tells Compress' clone to capture Eri but the ensuing battle between Izuku and Overhaul prevents him from doing so.
Izuku eventually defeats Overhaul and the injured Yakuza are taken to a hospital for villains. Twice tells Himiko to contact the Alliance so they can ambush the convoy. Himiko makes the call while Jin takes off his costume and argues with himself.
Superpower Liberation Army Arc
A month before the Japanese Hero Ranking, the Super Villains Alliance is forced to attack and rob other criminal organizations due to their lack of resources and funding. However, this does little to benefit them. Once back in their secret base in the mountains, differences begin to emerge from Spinner due to the lack of success, but at this point Gigantomachia appears.
Before being arrested by the police, Kurogiri had mentioned to Shigaraki that Gigantomachia is a "secret weapon" left by All For One to be used in case of need, at first Tomura is pleased with his presence and tries to make contact with him in the hope of recruiting him into their ranks. However, the giant claims that he is dedicated to All For One and demands that Tomura prove that he is worthy of being his successor. The supervillain alliance is easily defeated and the titan begins to wail and cry, crying that Tomura is too weak to be a successor, calling the alliance unacceptable, while questioning All For One's motives. Twice, wounded, asks Tomura if they should stand down for now or fight back.
After being defeated, and to prevent Gigantomachia from killing anyone by accident, the whole group is transferred by Daruma Ujiko, All For One's allied doctor, to his secret laboratory, where he was creating a new series of nomus. The doctor does not hesitate to criticize the Alliance members and tell them that they are weak, but he is willing to help them, especially after checking Shigaraki's resolve and willpower. However, the doctor tells them that to get his full support and resources, they must first defeat and subdue Gigantomachia.
Because of this condition, the members of the Alliance are in almost constant battle with Gigantomachia. In these fights, Twice uses his alter to create clones of Shigaraki, as the giant is mainly focused on fighting Tomura. After a month and a half of fighting, the Alliance is still unable to defeat him, but they are making progress, and Tomura still possesses greater determination.
At this point, Twice receives a call from Giran, who for reasons unknown, the Alliance knew nothing about for weeks. The first thing Twice does when answering the call is to blame Giran for not answering his calls for a long time. However, an unknown voice apologizes on behalf of the broker, because he is not responsible for this.
The man on the phone introduces himself as Re-Destro, Grand Commander of the Superpower Liberation Army. Twice asks what Re-Destro has done with Giran and what he wants. Re-Destro replies that they are torturing him but he is alive. After bragging about the strengths of the Liberation Army, Re-Destro explains that the Army wants to destroy the status quo and allow people to freely use their alters, however the popularity of the Alliance interferes with their plans. He explains that only the Army can be credited with the revolution that changes society, so the supervillain Alliance must be eliminated to signal the Army's rebirth.
He also claims to have a satellite camera locked onto the villains. Twice is concerned about this and throws away his phone, but Re-Destro proclaims that it is too late and that his satellites have already locked onto their location and will track them no matter where they go. He warns that all the heroes will be on them with a simple phone call. As a declaration of war, Tomura has the choice of taking the Alliance to Deika City to face the Liberation Army or doing nothing and being captured by the heroes. If the Alliance wants to see Giran free, they must get to Aichi Prefecture within the hour.
The Alliance members begin to wonder if Re-Destro's threats and boasts are real or just a bluff, but Twice insists that they save Giran. He goes on to say that Giran has given him a place and that they must go and save him. Mister Compress helps Twice to calm down while pointing out that Twice wants the group to "dive headlong into an unknown danger". Tomura takes off Twice's mask to shut him up and tells everyone that he has a plan to solve two of his problems.
Knowing that Machia will continue to hunt him down no matter what, he simply accepts Re-Destro's challenge so that they are between him and the giant when the next attack comes. Then, once the Liberation Army is decimated by the Gigantomachia massacre, he plans to attack Gigantomachia, hoping that the Army will have weakened him enough to finally take him down. Tomura returns Jin's mask and says that the Liberation Army will never know what hit them.
They have only two hours before Machia wakes up, and Tomura asks the Doctor to teleport them all to Aichi. Once there, they are guided into Deika City by the hero Sliding Go. While walking through the abandoned city, they meet face to face with Koukuu Hanabata and Chitose Kizuki, two senior army officers. Koukuu signals the start of the Superpower Liberation Army Renewal Celebration and dozens of warriors attack. Since they are being attacked on multiple fronts, the Alliance is separated, and each member must defend themselves as best they can.
During the battle, Twicce finds a badly wounded Himiko after her fight with Chitose. Shocked by Himiko's condition, Twice's personalities begin to argue, one insisting that Himiko should die while the other refuses to abandon her. Twice takes the handkerchief that Himiko gave him when he was about to spit and pushes her to live, saying that she and the Alliance were the only ones who would accept a failure like him and swear to kill the Army soldiers who hurt her so badly.
Twice is too upset to notice the Skeptic puppets approaching him. When he turns around, the puppets have taken on his true appearance, immediately evoking the traumatic memory of almost being killed by his own clones. Twice screams in fear as the puppets descend on him and rip off his mask before knocking him away from Himiko's body. A pair of puppets corner him while the others begin to wring Himiko's neck with the intention of killing her. As this happens, Twice sees the puppets with his face trying to kill Himiko and, in a fit of delusion, believes that he is actually the one trying to kill his closest friend in the Alliance. This sends him into hysterics as he wonders if he is the real Twice or just a clone.
He remembers his troubled past after his parents died and he had to turn to the streets. He created clones of himself just so he could have someone to talk to and trust, however, as he began to embark on a life of crime motivated only by the desire to live a comfortable lifestyle, he made mistake after mistake until it all culminated in the incident where his clones violently rebelled against him and he was driven insane, forcing him to cover his face from that point on to avoid splitting. He became unsure of whether he was a clone or not, and since his clones would disappear after taking as little damage as a broken bone, he began to fear suddenly disappearing from existence if he hurt himself too badly. It was at this time that he was recruited by Giran, who told him that a group of people of similar circumstances had recently formed and could use someone with an alter like his.
Emboldened by the memories of his salvation by the Alliance, Twice breaks free of the puppets holding him and rushes toward Himiko, but Skeptic orders the other puppets to beat him. Several puppets then hold him down and break his arms, with Skeptic threatening to break his legs next if he continues to resist. However, Twice realizes that despite the damage he has taken, he is not gone and is the original.
With a new surge of confidence following the confirmation that he is the real Jin Bubaigawara, he generates a group of clones that break through Skeptic's puppets, calling them "fake." Twice declares that he will not let his friends die and that he will show the Liberation Army how dangerous his alter can be.
After recalling a time when he failed to copy the alters destructive bullets, Twice he complains about not being useful and being a liability and how he wanted to repay his comrades for accepting him. Continually duplicating himself in Infinite Doubles: The Sad Man's Parade, Twice attacks Skeptic's puppets as well as the warriors of the Liberation Army. As his clones spread through the streets, Twice carries the unconscious Himiko Toga. Soon, they join their comrades and the doppelgangers, where they help by crushing the army's forces. The clones cover the streets while bickering with each other. One clone tells Mister Compress how he overcame his trauma, stating that he used with "love and courage." Another clone replies that a good villain would want to save his friends. A different clone suggests doubling Dabi however, Mister Compress warns that the Dabi clone would destroy everything leaving Gigantomachia with nothing but the Alliance to fight.
Arc Endeavor Agency
Twice and his allies (but without Tomura and Apocrypha) are present at a meeting, in which Hawks informs them of Enji Todoroki's decision to take on two new trainees, Izuku Midoriya and Katsuki Bakugo, besides his son Shoto. Twice congratulates Hawks for working so hard for the Paranormal Liberation Front and wonders if he can become one of his men one day. He then asks Hawks if he can explain to him what the live of the Principles of the Superpower Liberation Army is all about.
Paranormal Liberation War Arc
While Hawks was at the front, he had explained to Twice the ideology of the liberation of superpowers. Because of this explanation, Twice befriended him and trusted Hawks so much that he didn't hesitate to reveal Tomura's whereabouts: he was in the mountains in Kyoto, during a four-month experiment to gain more power.
Twice didn't know it at the time, but Hawks is a mole working for the Heroic Public Safety Commission to whom he passes on vital information about the Paranormal Liberation Front. With the information they just got from Twice, the commission already has all the information they need, and at the end of March, they organize a meeting of several hundred heroes to conduct a major raid, a full-fledged Paranormal Liberation War.
While an army of Heroes launches a mass assault on Jaku Hospital, where Tomura is hiding, another army of Heroes has attacked Gunga Mountain Villa. Hawks reveals himself to be a double agent working for the Heroes, and privately confronts Twice by wrapping his wings around him.
Hawks tells Twice that he was easy to manipulate and that he intends to turn him in once the war is over. Hurt by Hawks' betrayal, Twice recalls his past experiences of being betrayed by those he trusted, especially since it cost him the life of a friend. He breaks down emotionally, realizing the folly of his trusting nature and lamenting how sad he is that he does not trust Hawks. Hawks tells Twice that he wants to redeem him because he claims that deep down he is a good person.
But nothing happens: Twice loses his temper, expressing his hatred towards the heroes. Refusing to trust Hawks, he unleashes Infinite Doubles: The Sad Man's Parade to fight him, and Hawks reluctantly agrees to fight as he prepares to confront the man he considered a good friend. Dabi approaches the room where the two are fighting, and figures that it was the puny heroes who were to blame for Twice's descent into villainy.
Although Twice's clones easily outnumber Hawks' power, his efforts are in vain as Hawks easily destroys his clones as they weaken with each use of his Alter. Hawks tries to get Twice to surrender but he refuses to listen to him and creates duplicates of the supervillain Alliance, his only allies. Hawks destroys them too and says that heroes eliminate villains quickly, because someone who never gives up is a hero's worst fear. Twice tries to attack him, but is badly wounded by one of Hawks' feather blades.
Realizing that he has put his allies in danger again, Twice believes that Himiko Toga will never comfort him again. He swears to protect the League's happiness and tries to create one last double, but Hawks destroys it and says he will deliver the message to the League. Before the hero is about to kill him, Twice is saved by his ally, Dabi, who turns the tables on Hawks.
As Dabi unleashes a huge explosion of flames on Hawks, who is underneath him, it has also affected Twice, regardless of the flames thrown at Hawks. The winged hero managed to pull himself and Twice out of Dabi's flames, much to Dabi's surprise. Hawks commented on how Dabi almost set Twice on fire as well. To which Dabi responded sarcastically, talking about how heroes always instinctively save others. Twice then tries to escape Hawks' grasp, much to the hero's annoyance, and manages to do so with a blast from Dabi who helped him escape. But just as he was about to join the battle and duplicate a copy of himself, Hawks reappeared, having moved away from the Dabi blast. He hits them both. Twice yells at Hawks to get out of his way, while Dabi fires another heat blast at Hawks.Twice manages to escape Hawks again and witnesses the battle between the Paranormal Liberation Front and the heroes. As he watches his close friends in danger, he remembers the kindness they showed him and tries to help them. However, he is attacked again by Hawks, much to his dismay. He manages to send a clone of himself to the battlefield. While his original body is stabbed by Hawks.
His clone manages to save Himiko and Mr. Compress from a hero who captured them both by stabbing them from behind. While Atsuhiro Sako expresses his joy that the victory is now theirs because of Twice's involvement, Twice says that he is no longer able to clone himself and cannot make duplicates of himself because he had fallen on the concrete after the original was attacked.
He tells them how it is his fault again and how he was stabbed in the back by Hawks. He approaches Himiko and pulls out the handkerchief she used to calm him during the Police Raid on the Eight Precepts of Death to wipe the blood off his face. As he begins to disappear, he feels grateful that he made such a good friend as Himiko and lived a blessed life, and he was as happy as he could have been. Thus ends Twice's existence.
Skills and Competencies
Overall Abilities: Twice is a fairly skilled villain and is a major asset to the supervillain alliance. His alter is very effective in a support role, as he can use his power to create backup for himself and his allies in battle. Tenko Shimura claims that he is a key part of the Alliance's plans. Overhaul, and later the Superpower Liberation Army, wanted to recruit Twice to get their hands on his unique alter. In addition to his alter's skills, Twice is also a gifted acrobat with impressive speed and reaction time, completely avoiding an ice wave from Shoto Todoroki, one of Yuei's most promising students. After using his powers for theft, he became one of the most wanted criminals by the government.
Alter
Duplicity (二倍 Nibai): Allows Twice to create duplicates, living or not. It is limited to creating two clones at a time. After memorizing the measurements and characteristics of his target(s), he can create a perfect copy. The clones will not disappear but will disintegrate into a slime-like substance if they take too much damage. Twice has absolutely no control over the clones he creates because they have their own autonomy. Twice previously felt unable to clone himself due to the incident he had with his own clones, but he regained the ability to do so after overcoming his trauma. According to Giran, this Alter could allow Twice to destroy entire countries.
Special techniques
- Infinite Doubles : The Parade of the Sad Man (無限増殖 Mugen Zōshoku Saddo Manzu Parēdo?): Jin creates clones of himself, then the clones create clones of themselves, who in turn create clones of themselves. This cycle continues to grow and becomes an army of thousands of Twice clones.
Equipments
Measuring Tape: Twice has measuring tapes on his wrists, wrapped in bracelets. These tapes are used to take measurements to create clones, and he also uses them in battle. The tape is sharp and can be used as a weapon, being able to cut through solid ice.
Relations
Tenko Shimura
Twice respects Tomura as the leader of the League of Villains, and tends to obey his every command. This is evident during the Eight Precepts Arc, when Tomura ordered Toga and Twice to temporarily join the Yakuza. At first, Twice refused to assist Overhaul and his organization because of what he did to Mr. Compress and Magnet, feeling guilty for what happened to them. Twice asked Tomura not to let him go, but Tomura removed "Father" from his face, revealing a calm and determined expression. Tomura told Twice to help Overhaul for him and the rest of the League knowing full well that the Eight Precepts had never been interested in being equal and that they want to undermine the League. Tomura remembered when Twice said that someone would pay for Magnet's death and he told him that helping Overhaul is one way to do that, and concluded by adding that he believes in him.
Later, once they succeeded in stealing Alters' destructive bullets, Twice tried to clone the drug but, due to a lack of information about its composition, was unable to do so, which affected him greatly. He just wants to be useful to Tomura, wanting to thank him for letting him join the Alliance.
During their battle against the Liberation Army, Twice is extremely devoted to Tomura, offering to rest on him because of his extreme fatigue. He also created a multitude of clones to distract the army and allow Tomura to reach the tower where Giran is held.
Crematorium
Crematorium seems to have no problem working with Twice and is not annoyed by his atypical personality. In return, Twice has complete confidence in Crematorium's power.
However, they often argue, as Crematorium seems to have no regard for the other members of the League, which contradicts Twice's sense of camaraderie. When Giran was kidnapped by the Superpower Liberation Army, Crematorium considered his rescue to be meaningless, which led to a violent response from Twice.
Himiko Toga
Twice and Himiko seem to get along well. During their mission with Kai Chisaki's organization, Himiko showed great empathy for Twice's feelings about working together with the Yakuza. After his confrontation with Sir Nighteye, Twice began to split because his mask had been torn. But Toga "fixed" it and reminded Twice that if they didn't cooperate, they would have no chance of avenging Magnet.
Toga's sympathy for Twice during their infiltration of the Yakuza made Twice want to take care of her. He is grateful to her since she had repaired his mask.
When she is seriously injured during the fight against the Superpower Liberation Army, Twice does everything in his power to save her and the mere knowledge that she might die from her injuries is simply unbearable for him. To him, the League of Villains is like family, having only them in his life.
Magnet
Indirectly, Twice became responsible for Magnet's death when he led Overhaul to the League of Villains. Twice felt remorse when she was killed because of Overhaul and demanded revenge. He was angered when Overhaul referred to Magnet as a man instead of a woman.
M. Compress
Twice felt responsible for Mr. Compress when he had his arm destroyed by Overhaul. He demanded revenge, just like Magnet's death.
Giran
Twice seemed to really like Giran. When Giran was captured by the Liberation Army, Twice became angry and demanded Giran's location. He did everything he could to save him from Re-Destro's clutches.
Overhaul
Initially, Twice was impressed with Overhaul's performance against the Reservoir Dogs and decided to recruit him to the League of Villains. His first impression of him quickly changed when Overhaul killed Magnet and destroyed Mr. Compress' arm. Twice held a great grudge against Overhaul and sought revenge.
Initially, he refused to work for Overhaul when Tomura asked him to, beginning to show signs of "separation" and admitting to feeling guilty for letting Overhaul attack the League.
Later, when he was confronted by the Eight Precepts, he admitted that he disliked the Yakuza and refused to reveal his Alter. However, Shin Nemoto was able to force him to tell them his power. When Overhaul referred to Magnet as "he", Twice intervened and told him it was "she" and reminded him that this was his second offense.
During the attack on the organization's hideout, Overhaul asked Himiko and Twice to hold back the enemies to cover his escape, but they reluctantly complied. Frustrated, Twice said that the Yakuza were useless as his Rappa Kendo clone was quickly taken down by Sir Nighteye. Later, Twice and Toga decided to betray Overhaul and his organization by sabotaging their plan.
