Finn Ames is one of the main characters in the Mashle series. He is a first-year student at Easton Magic Academy, the roommate of Mash Burnedead, and the younger brother of Rayne Ames.

Appearance of Finn Ames
Finn has an average build with slender legs. His black hair is characterized by a yellow streak on the left side of his bangs. His magic mark appears on his right cheek as a straight vertical line running from his eye to his jawline.
He is frequently seen in two different outfits:
- At Easton Magic Academy: He wears the standard Adler House robe.
- Outside of School: He prefers casual clothing consisting of a shirt, a vest, and trousers.
Personality of Finn Ames
Finn often serves as the rational observer in the face of the bizarre behaviors of other characters. Although he is easily frightened and somewhat cowardly, he is extremely loyal to his friends and cares deeply for them. He is willing to go to great lengths to protect those he loves.

During the Divine Visionary Selection Exam arc, Finn endured attacks from Carpaccio Luo-Yang to protect the crystal that would allow Mash to advance in the exam. Furthermore, Finn is a reserved student who simply aspires to a peaceful school life, as shown in his early interactions with Mash.

Past
During his early days at Easton Magic Academy, Finn initially viewed Mash as a troublemaker and sought to avoid him. However, after discovering they were roommates, he gradually grew closer to him.

During a class on opening spells, Mash caused a scene, leading Finn to view him as someone to stay away from. However, their relationship evolved once they began living together. Mash notably impressed Finn by breaking a world record during a flight class.
