Appearance

Mina is a beautiful young woman with waist-length black hair, styled in a ponytail and decorated with a hairclip. She has large dark orange eyes with a beauty mark under each eye and an athletic build. Under her uniform, she bears a small scar on the left side of her chest.

At 18, her hair was shorter and styled in a bob cut.

She usually wears the Defense Force combat uniform, accompanied by a white visor that enhances her vision. In combat, she typically uses firearms and her personal cannon.

Personality

Mina is a serious and determined woman who takes her role in the Defense Force very seriously. She strives to keep the promise made in her childhood to defeat all kaijus, to the point of dedicating herself entirely to the fight against these monsters. Despite her professional demeanor, she has a soft spot for Kafka Hibino: while she is disappointed that he didn't keep his promise to stay by her side, she remembers their friendship fondly and wishes to see him succeed in the Defense Force, even after learning he was Kaiju No. 8.

Under her tough exterior, Mina shows her true self as a caring person who does her best to ensure no one is hurt during a fight and to keep everyone safe. She also shows gratitude toward her subordinates, praising them for their help whenever possible and recognizing everyone's value. However, these traits also contribute to a deep fear of failure within her. In her mind, any mistake would invalidate her comrades' sacrifices and violate the trust that civilians have in her. While unhealthy, this mindset is also what drives her to excel in combat.

Powers and Skills

General Abilities: Mina is the captain of the Defense Force's Third Division, known as the "strongest" female captain in the Defense Force, where she has neutralized hundreds of kaijus throughout her career. She has shown the power necessary to easily crush giant kaijus with a few shots. According to General Director Keiji Itami, against giant kaijus, Mina is stronger than Gen Narumi, further stating she is the only person in the world capable of wielding larger weapons so effectively. Itami even theorized that, against Kaiju No. 6 ten years ago, the damage could have been reduced to a third if Mina had been active at the time.

Mina's incredible power was recognized from her first mission with the Third Division. General Director Isao Shinomiya, after discovering her power, even declared that she was "the missing link" and that she would forever change kaiju neutralization. Even an enemy like Kaiju No. 9 recognizes and admires Mina's strength, wishing to take her to become stronger.

Powers

High Unleashed Combat Power: As a Defense Force captain, Mina is capable of using a large portion of her combat suit's power. Her maximum unleashed combat power is 96%.

Enhanced Strength: Mina possesses incredible physical strength, as shown when she easily carries her large cannon in combat with dexterity.

Enhanced Speed and Reflexes: Mina is incredibly fast and agile, capable of moving gracefully across the battlefield while dodging several attacks from an enhanced Kaiju No. 9.

Skills

Master Marksmanship: Mina is a very high-caliber sharpshooter, known as "The Defense Force's Giant-Slayer" due to her extraordinary shooting skills and mastery of her personal cannon. Her shots also possess immense power, as shown when she easily defeated a large kaiju. Mina can also rely on her tiger Bakko to stabilize her, thereby increasing her accuracy to precisely hit specific parts of a kaiju's body.

Mina's marksmanship skills even surpass those of Gen Narumi, considered "Japan's strongest anti-kaiju combatant."

Leadership Skills: As captain of the Third Division, Mina has demonstrated excellent leadership skills.
