⛩ Kanao Tsuyuri is a major secondary character in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. She is a Demon Slayer from the Demon Slayer Army, Shinobu Kocho's Tsuguko and the adopted sister of Shinobu and Kanae Kocho.

When Kanao is first introduced, she is an indecisive, quiet girl due to the abuse she suffered before meeting the Kocho sisters. She became unable to make decisions for herself and repressed her emotions as a defense mechanism. To help rectify this, Kanae gave her a coin to flip to decide which way to go when she didn't know what to do.

Kanao is gradually becoming able to express her emotions and desires more openly, as seen when Tanjiro recovers from his injuries and displays relief, when she tells Shinobu that she wishes to train alongside him and when she expresses shock and distress at Shinobu's plan to defeat Doma.

Kanao is Kanae and Shinobu's Tsuguko and has been personally trained by both in the art of combat. As such, Kanao possesses superhuman physical skills, abilities and prowess that potentially mark her as a future member of the Pillars.
