    ⛩ Ikkaku Madarame is vice-captain of the Eleventh Division of Gotei 13 and formerly the division's 3rd officer. His captain is Kenpachi Zaraki.

    In terms of physical attitude, the strongest sword fighter in the entire seireitei (after the captains) Ikkaku is like every member of the 11th Division - violent, fun-loving and rude.

    Although he's the 3rd officer, this position doesn't reflect his true skills (Renji mentioned that Ikkaku could become captain). He has reached Bankai, which places him above the rest of the Soul Society lieutenants. Madarame deliberately hides this fact from everyone except those he knows will keep it secret (Abarai, Yumichika).
