⛩ Rukia Kuchiki is the Shinigami who enabled Ichigo Kurosaki to have his Shinigami powers for the first time. She was a 13th Division Officer under Jūshirō Ukitake before being sentenced to death by the Soul Society for giving Ichigo his powers, before being acquitted.

Since her training at the Royal Palace, Rukia has been able to use the true power of Sode no Shirayuki. It doesn't consist in producing frozen air, but in lowering her owner's body temperature. Rukia therefore had to learn to master her Reishi control to channel temperature changes at will, but also to train her body to "survive" while her whole organism is literally "frozen to death".

After the war against Aizen and the Arrancars, she was appointed Vice-Captain of the 13th Division, before becoming its Captain, 10 years after the Millennium Bloody War.
