⛩ Griffith is the leader of a band of mercenaries called the Falcon Troop where he will win multiple battles.

Then he meets Guts who manages to defeat the whole troop except him. He forces Guts to join his group following a bet between him and Guts, a bet that Griffith quickly wins since it is a fencing duel. Because of Guts' talents, he appointed him as the leader of the cavalry. After the reconquest of several lands, he and the whole troop is ennobled by the king. He captured a stronghold and was promoted to general. The Queen tries to assassinate him, in vain, since he remains alive and has her killed by Guts. Later, Guts wanted to leave the brigade and reminded him that he had staked his freedom on his sword fight, and that he had to fight her again to get it back. A fight that Guts will win easily, because of the experience he has acquired during years, and leaves.

Griffith is too weak, physically and mentally, and forcefully reveals the marks of the wounds he had during his year of torture. He will also end up activating the Red Behelit, giving rise to the Eclipse. In order to realize his dream, to create a perfect world, he will sacrifice what he holds most dear in the world: his troop. All will die, except Guts and Casca who will survive, but at a terrible price: Guts will lose his left arm, and Casca will go mad after being raped by Griffith's God Hand form, Femto.

Femto seems to be immortal, is called an archangel by Void, and has lost all human feelings.
