⛩ Jinx , born Powder , is one of the main protagonists of Arcane . She is the unpredictable, inventive, and chaotic younger sister of Vi and the adopted daughter of Silco . Throughout the series, she is troubled by the feeling of abandonment from her sister, as well as the manipulation she faced from Silco as she tries to figure out her true identity.

As a little girl, Powder was shy and sweet, but clumsy and prone to mistakes. This, combined with a case of middle child syndrome, caused irritation from her older "brother" Mylo, who called her bad luck. She admired her older sister Vi (her only biological family) and saw her as a role model and almost parental figure. Although she wasn’t as physically capable as Vi, she was very creative and spent much of her free time making various types of inventions, mainly bombs and other small explosives.

However, they were unreliable and only became effective later in her adolescence. She demonstrated her skill with firearms, beating her best friend, Ekko, and her brother, Mylo, several times. Despite her generally shy and calm nature, Powder was shown repeatedly to have extremely strong emotional reactions, especially when faced with the possibility of abandonment, screaming and crying accompanied by hallucinations and self-harming behavior, something her character retains later in the series.
